You should really watch John Dudley’s school of nock if you are going to shoot a compound bow. He’s free lessons will help a lot. Good luck.

Donkeys are NOTHING to play with. We have a neighbor that has a pair of them in with his sheep. And the farmer hasn't lost a single sheep or lamb to a coyote or any other predator since he added Gus and Tommy. We don't have large bears her in NE Ohio. And the few Black Bears we do have don't bother livestock much,Mainly because they have some much elese to feed on. But we do have LARGE (40-50 LB) Coyotes that do bother livestock, Especially the calves and lambs.

That donkey is the best security guard that herd will ever have. Last year, turkey hunting we had a group of wild horses run out into the field we were hunting, and there was a donkey with them as well.

A hit is a hit, Good eyes my dude. I use compound, more speed and power but slower to draw and set and lacks Versatility in being dexterous (no double arrows, curving arrow flights). I notice the silencers too which means you hunt regularly. Is that your personal self made course? Not too many Brotha archers too so keep it coming.

Air Force only makes improvements to there guns they don't go the other way and I no that because I've owned there guns for the last 15 or so years and I have no complaints
@shawnlonge3739 ай бұрын
No you don't want to change out that grip. That is a AR style grip it is improved not sure why you would want to change it. Also that part that goes around the safety is so that it can't be disengaged if you hit it on something. I'm sorry bud but before you make statements on changes made to a airgun make sure you know the facts other wise you will loose views on your videos. After watching the first few minutes of this video I shut it off because you seem like you don't really know what your talking about you make your self sound ingredient
@Bushcraftamerican9 ай бұрын
You seem triggered by whatever is going on in your life but I know what I’m talking about. I think before being triggered show us that you have been successful hunting with an airgun on public land.

I really like my 257 Texan, I also have a stock Texan 308 barrel for it. The 257 & 308 Texan share the same valve, and can swap calibers with a simple barrel change. I also have a Texan 457 CF & a Condor 25 & Escape 25. I have Maddog Stocks for 3 of my Airforce rifles, & im ordering another one for my 4th.

My figures are a 4 oz of silicon oil a hand pump and 1000 rounds of slugs of my choosing i have extra viton orings to rebiuld air rifles and one hand pump. I prefer folding base hand pump to airforce even though air force is better. I have attained way past 1000 rounds with above mentioned so its a go in my book for reliability. After taking my first deer all doubts of this hunting technology instantly vanished. How ever i did alot of testing on accuracy to its maximum and penetration with various mediums to get a feel and find its strengths and weaknesses .
@Jeremy-t5f10 ай бұрын
I deburred my air rifles and polished the bore as well. It does improve proformance all the way threw

The texan 457 kicks a bit with heavy slugs. So what i did was adjust the tank but nut and ring nuts turn tank ring until but plate is to the side and not center of tank then tighten. And Vala the recoil is mostly bypassed. Without modding the but plate my modded texan but plate unajusted left my shoulder sore after 35 rounds. Similar discomfort to a boxes of high brase 3 inch 12 gage. I think because the but plate is not modded to cushion soft.

I have modded a recluse seneca and when I lived in Arizona I took deer with flat point 125 grain and 200 grain 358 for my slugged bore size. Hard and soft cast 200 grain full pass threw 100 yards and 125 grain at 15 yards and 120 yards sticks under skin on opposite shoulder. 158 grain store bought hollowpoint full pass threw on Arizona deer and goat. With California turkey all my turkey with the recluse were over 100 yards less then 300. My texan 457 does full pass threw head shot drt 340 grain flat point 110 my recluse never made a full pass threw head shot but still same end results different calibersall my turkey scoped all my deer open sights one scoped my goat hunts all scope

As for a backpack gun I'd say it is a good option but the power is lacking. I wouldn't try to take down a bear with only 300 fpe. It is about a 100 fpe weaker then a 9 mm. The take down power is just not there. It could definitely kill some larger game but you're going to be tracking awhile. I think the Zeus or the challenger bullpup with the max power kit are the 2 best options for airguns. If you want something for a backpack then I'd get a good black powder revolver or regular firearm. The benefit of airguns and black powder is how much quieter it is. The airguns are typically more accurate so there's that too

Nothing like stick & string to harvest a buck or boar. Excellent. Congratulations. I Shoot Traditional Archery as well. Taken many deer. I’m in Southern California. I don’t know if you attend traditional shoots but California has some excellent traditional rendezvous. If you haven’t filled a deer tag, give me a holler. I know spots that would blow your hair back for deer. Gotta love our AO Tags!
