Fun fact: Power wise, S45 falls somewhere in between 9mm luger and 9mm browning in terms of Joules of energy delivered. This thing is basicaly a pistol carabine 😳

Yeah this pump has held up well for me, I actually have two. The other one still works but I lost the screws to the handle so for the new one I superglued all the screws just in case but I think it’ll last some time. I also enjoy the workout!

As for a backpack gun I'd say it is a good option but the power is lacking. I wouldn't try to take down a bear with only 300 fpe. It is about a 100 fpe weaker then a 9 mm. The take down power is just not there. It could definitely kill some larger game but you're going to be tracking awhile. I think the Zeus or the challenger bullpup with the max power kit are the 2 best options for airguns. If you want something for a backpack then I'd get a good black powder revolver or regular firearm. The benefit of airguns and black powder is how much quieter it is. The airguns are typically more accurate so there's that too

I own the ( AEA HP SS PLUS .25 cal airgun) “ man that’s a lot of words” lol And It’s an awesome airgun and it’s gonna be giving Competition to the other airgun companies ,for the price you’re getting a lot! Already used mine to hunt two ground squirrels one rabbit and a coyote at 40 yards going after our Dawg. Coyote was an awesome one shot to its lungs and it went down fast! Used NSA 26.8 grain hollow point slugs Now you have me thinking of upgrading! Lol

@@Bushcraftamerican with both tanks I honestly don't know I use my front tank with a folding stock most of the time it depends on my starting pressure but it's about the same as my hpss plus which has a 300cc tank the terminator front tank is also 300cc and from bottom working pressure to 3500 3600 psi it's normally around 100 but only the last 30 pumps tank any weight or effort the first 50 60 is effort less

Got a new sub I would have said the ultimate backpack airgun was my aea 30 cal til this 45/came out… ok I’m confused I was waiting for the bin tac s and w 45 to come out then all of a sudden everyone’s reviewing these aea 45s when did these drop and what are the differences

I believe these recently came out a few months ago. I believe the B&W S45 is semi auto but HP max is bolt action with 6th or rotary mag. I believe the power is the same at 300-350fpe and shot count is the same.

Loving my B&W s45, it's actually a completely different platform than the HP Max series. It is also semi-automatic with the ability to run two air tanks, with the rear tank having a hot swap valve. It's absolutely beautiful and extremely powerful and pretty accurate for a 13in Barrel as long as you're running the correct slugs.

I have the same exact gun except I have a cool looking muzzle brake on the end of mine and I will admit it is a freaking Cannon by the way I absolutely love your videos I have a question when you say it takes 5 minutes to fill your gun up is that basically just the top it off or do you do that all the way from an empty tank if you fill up the gun 5 minutes from the empty tank you're an absolute beast😁👍 so I would think ..... I'm just guessing you do that just the top the gun off 5 minutes worth am I correct???????

Washers/o rings are the same thing but if you look in amazon they sell large packs of them. Definitely get a bunch! Happy hunting!

@@Bushcraftamerican I recently bought the same one AEA KP Max .457 and added a DonnyFL Emp.V3 just so you know it does have M18X1 threads (shrouded model needs an adapter). Looks like QC has improved no more probe issues at least I have had zero issues. I did have to ever so slightly tighten the gauge (had a very very slow leak) other then that so far all seems good. I wish I could say that this was an informative video. I didn’t take anything away except for the defective fill port. Why not take a string of shots to see its handheld accuracy and loudness? How can I have any credibility in someone who is wearing 4 different camouflage patterns. Where is your scouting fashion? Note: if you came across a coyote, he’d most likely run.

Well to answer your question about the "ultimate backpack airgun" first and foremost it ain't none of the AEA airguns. If you wanna rely on that gun you also don't mind walking across the Grand canyon on a tight rope. New airgunners are getting dooped by this ShamWow gimmick gun so bad!!!

@@Bushcraftamerican O'boy that's kindova loaded question for me lol 😆 😂. Brutha I have over 30 airguns in my locker (down from 100 last year 😅). But if I had to choose it would be either my Edgun Leshiy (my L2 or my Classic), or my Edgun R5 .30cal. Reason being to me a "backpack gun" should be durable, reliable, consistent, easy to repair, and a FRIGGIN DOG OVA GUN!! And all Edguns are that! Now a gun on my wish list for ULTIMATE backpack gun is hands down the AAA Evol in .30cal. There is no better imo. AEA guns although nice to play with are throwaway guns. I have 4 of them the only good thing about them is that you can play Frankenstein with them very well.

The thing about a cheap guns is you need to know how to fix them up and find the issues before they are an issue but once you do they are great... Polish here polish there. Some lubrication, Couple seals, take off burrs, check threads and screws use some loctite and a torque driver make sure everything is square inline and operating smoothly and boom you have your self a very dependable airgun that you got to know very well. If you want to just take a gun out of the box and have it be perfect with no issues than you are going to pay significantly in the wallet department.
