I JUST finished my 9th sketchbook, which is the plumchester one. I loved working in it so much that i may get another square one after the 10th sb. I had used the illo one before and wasn't a huge fan (especially since the paper isn't acid free). But after working in the plumchester, I may try the illo again 🤔. Also, I think I started mine ( the 9th one ) in june and barely finished it this month lol

i love your sketchbook spreads! i would love to see a sketchbook tour of that sketchbook one day

FYI -Artist Grade Acrylic Paint varies with the color due to the actual pigments, some are opaque and some transparent which may be why some previous pens were not all opaque. Most of us think paint in general as being opaque unless watercolor, but Acrylic Paint unless craft acrylic paint are not all opaque :)

Bit of advice from me: have a sketchbook that is for your eyes only! Ie, make it a rule for yourself not to share/post anything in at least one sketchbook because that one is just for you! It takes a lot of pressure off and lets you freely connect with yourself and the process without worrying about how it would look online :) Also, using a cheap quality sketchbook/paper makes it a lot easier to be ok with making mistakes and/or messy/practice/warmup art! :3

If you want a recommendation, I think you might be interested in the mix media sketchbook by ohuhu, they sell it in square format, and I LOVE the paper. I have tried a little bit of everything in this sketchbook and it holds everything pretty well, I like to use watercolors, so maybe you might be interested in it. btw I love your videos keep it up :D

Man i resonate with your first bit with digital art. Theres a whole list of reasons I stopped drawing (which i hate. I miss creating art) but switching to digital made me feel like everything had to be finished. Which isnt how I like to do art. I love making my sketchbook full of mess and mistakes 😭

im currently working in an illo sketchbook (its a little older, i bought it a bit ago) and it hasnt got that weird freckling like yours did! so they fixed it! its been a lot of fun to use!

For the cat toys, take the stuffing and put it in a bag with cat nip for a bit before stuffing the toy. Makes them extra special 😊

Nah the only guilt that should ever be had with art is if you knowingly took work that wasn’t your own and passed it off as your own. Your videos and work are amazing.

I told myself that I would watch this as a reward after studying all day and AHHHHMG even though the colors were a struggle bus, you still managed to make the spread look so nice and colorful!! <333 I've always wanted to try acrylic markers since they're so bold and the finished product has a really nice pop to it but the permanence and difficulty with blending (compared to alcohol markers) scares me :'D It was so nice to see Aslan show up in the video! I can't believe that vet said those things to you like wtf?? It's a shame that not everyone who ends up in the medical field has nice bedside manners u___u I'm so happy that Aslan has lived so long and that's super exciting that he'll be 10 soon!!
