I actually have a set of these (the other 60 set) and quite like them. I have encountered the problem of them losing juice after using them too much, but I think that's an issue that can't really be fixed without completely redesigning the marker. There's a reason most paint markers have some sort of pump system to get more paint out. With how think paint is, it just can't easily get through the nib fast enough. I've even encountered this with ink markers before. Arrtx actually does have a line of pumpable markers with brush nibs (the simptap line, they put the pump on the back of the marker rather than in the nib) but it comes in a lot less colors I think that instead of using them for full pieces, they work a lot better in a mixed media setting. Especially since they dry matte. Blocking colors in with something else and going over top with these for rendering or just doing finishing touches I've found workes really well. I've had them for a number of months and have had no issues with longevity. Your art is also really cute! I'm unfamiliar with madoka but all of the art I see of it is always really pretty.

I really appreciate the honest review. I've seen a few other review videos where the artist was sent the markers for free and none of them have mentioned the drying out issue.

Even if it takes a while I’d love to get an update on these after a bit more use and time, I’ve had my eye on them for a while but if they don’t hold up I’d hate to waste my money on them :’) the illustration is so pretty 💞

Omg my cat will LITERALLY try to eat my watercolor paint (and gouache paint). I have to wait either until he's asleep or lock myself in the bathroom to set up my paletts, since my studio door doesn't have a lock. 🥲 He once stepped in my gouache paint and left paw prints on the table and chair. It was kind of funny. He's pretty good about letting me clean his paws though....my boyfriend just has to hold him and i quickly wipe them.

The feeling of cringe is a fear of how others perceive you. When you reach a certain age you stop giving a flying rats a$$ what people think and you get that freedom back again. I recommend going to google and searching 1800s circus drawings because some drawings were SO free regardless of art level, and seeing how they made art without social media to record their day's experience is very inspiring!

Maybe try hydrating the dry tips with wet kitchen towel since the inks are water based and see if it helps the dryness at all. I'm waiting for my set to arrive today and I am so impatient!

All of my plants died as well 😢. The longest living one i had was my Christmas cactus that my mom gave me, eventually that one passed away 😭. Can you give tips on how you've kept yours alive?! They are all so pretty!

I think I've had the artsnacks and scrawlrbox box once before, never again. They suck. The materials never seem to work together and the colors too were disappointing. I've wanted to try upcrate for a while but i think the cost is like 50 or 40 something to have it shipped to me 😅.

Maybe dip the pen in water sometimes I do that with my paint brushes maybe it works for actylic pens too

ive been using these for a couple months (inconsistantly) but ive definitely experienced the dryness of multiple markers, some are barely usable and ive barely used them.. i tried shaking them and storing them with the brush facing down but nothing works :(

Yes I’ve had issue with the markers kinda drying out. I had them laying flat so I put them upside down in a mug and now they are working better.

Oh, so I can actually answer this! You don't have to shake these markers because they have a sponge-y like material inside to hold the paint rather than something like an ink cartridge (or paint cartidge I guess?). This is nice because it helps prevent the paint from separating (though it definitely still happens just not as quickly). The problem is that this means there's less paint in each marker and the paint doesn't flow to the nib as quickly and results in your nib getting drier quicker. It's a design flaw and one of the reasons I don't use their acrylic markers much any more. That, and that the paint still separates but there's no way to get it to mix again since shaking a sponge is useless. I did email them about this a few months ago and they told me to just buy another set 😅

Beautiful artwork as always! Loving the clown girlies art. I know the dark magician girl is not part of this video, but I saw her, and my inner fangirl was screaming in pure joy, lol. Hmm, I was wondering if the brush tip for acrylic marker is an issue no matter the brand. I have the Karin pigment acrylic markers, which has a brush tip, and after using them for a little too long, I have to aggressively shake them to get them juicy and opaque. It's so sad if that's the actual issue because acrylic markers with brush tips are so much fun to create art with.

I've run into a similar issue with my Arrtx markers. I feel like I only used them a couple time times before they got really dry and hard to use...😮‍💨
