Thank you so much for posting this daoc track, that I was searching for ages... maybe 15 years. This could be heard also in Midgard when I was renting a horse near Svasud Faste, or SI Hibernia in the Vale of Balor. Intense nostalgia. I wish I could play daoc again, roaming the 3 beautiful realms !

Today I discovered something amazing. I was listening to an audio drama from the German series Gruselkabinett, episode 163, chapter 41. Suddenly, music from DAOC was playing in the background-specifically track 2 Night from this video. I wrote to the producers and hope that it doesn’t violate any copyright

I worked at Mythic for 5 years. It was a very special time of my life. Just had my first kid. I was as much of a fan/player as I was a dedicated dev artist. This really means a lot to me. Thank you for making this!

Thanks for you work put in at Mythic! Daoc was my 2nd or 3rd mmorpg, but the first one I actually hooked into. I think for all its flaws, maybe it spoiled me. Where this game shined it was blindingly brilliant.

Do you remember what everyday life in the early days of DAoC looked like? You log in and first consider whether it's worth taking a look over the next hill to see if there's a good spot for some XP. You start running and initially see nothing, continuing over the next hill and then another. Be careful not to get lost, because death lurks everywhere. Suddenly, you see another player who is 2 levels above you. You greet each other, and you ask where he has been gathering his last XP. He says, "Come with me, I'll help you." So you continue running, and you ask if there's a stone to bind somewhere. You take a little detour, and eventually you arrive at a huge plain, green grass and enemies everywhere. As you fight enemies together for some time, you get into a conversation and eventually develop a good friendship. Compare this to todays standards. Its a shame

I was 18y when it was released. I was a bad student already and finally quit school and started to stay awake whole nights. And daocs music fits perfect to the feeling of lonlyness I felt not only in my reallife also in daoc I was completely lost and alone. Trying to find my way through this game was as hard as manging rl these days. But we did it. What a great time And after coming back time to time reading comments of all the daoc athmosphere music videos I have to say that i never read so deep emotional comments from grown up man anywhere else. It is just insane what daoc means to us

Tepok's was definitely overlooked and under used. Was a good spot to avoid the crowds. Beat sitting in line for a group. My first 50 was on trees in Lyonesse. Think i spent more time sitting in line for a group than I did in group...or pygmies too. The good ole days when they only came 3 at a time but you had to have a sorc to mezz so could fight them one at a time lol. Not the the later days of ah go pull tge whole camp and pbae them down. Good nemories of when games were actuality difficult...

Jahrelang gespielt!
