@Nile Parker thank you so much for clearing this up... as always, to God be the Glory! Nile you know I don't say much about it because The Battle is not mine and God sees all things... so with that said, I shall continue to do the work of The Lord.

@ShareMyWorld28 Lenora Johnson! She was the 1st director of the "Teen's of TFT"...(Turner's Faith Temple COGIC). They later became "Youthful Praise"....I don't know who misinformed you but i'm very sorry. :)

I believe that because they were all there together in perfect harmony it would be easy to pick out someone who is charismatic, loving, kind - as they all are - along with JJ Hairston, TFT Youth, Lenora Johnson Poole, and everyone else who sang and blessed our souls along with the late Pastor Shawn Brown! "Love is p-a-t-i-e-n-t" :)

@NileKTParker - Ok, It was the understanding I received from someone else within the choir at the particular time. But there is need to scream, it wasnt meant in an offensive manner....btw who was the person he took it over from?
@PhyllisBolden723604 жыл бұрын
It's okay sweetie - we know in part - you are fine. Blessings to you always!
@NileKTParker13 жыл бұрын
@ShareMyWorld28 Shawn Brown was NOT the founder of Youthful Praise! He was our Head Director, but took over from someone else within the choir! Youthful Praise was the teen choir from the church which later began recording etc..

Its almost to the point to where if a singer male or female cant run/riff its often said cant sing. I personally dont think thats the case bcs again she has a beautiful voice and she did in fact show her spirit in this video, just wish she didnt run/riff so much in most of her songs. You almost lose sight and spirit of what the song is really saying for cheering on her low registers, riffs, runs, and high notes

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L VOICE.....and I am in fact a fan, she has her own style but NOT EVERY SONG needs runs and riffs.

THAT WAS STR8 UP KAREN LOLOL....We are all influenced by singers that were before our times, and its not a bad thing, why not patton after great anointed singers, doesn't that really prove their effectiveness in ministry???? It would encourage persons like Karen, Kim, Rance, Vanessa, John P. Kee, Shirley, Bettye, Daryl and others that there ministry was not in vain.

Ah...Never apologize for telling the truth. You said what you meant, and felt at that time. I agree and understand every thing you said, and the passion of which you said it. those so quick to criticize in stead of appreciate are ass's, and their mouths are damned from their own judgement. Now run tell that.

Why do people have to be so deep? This is the way that she shows her commitment and love for God. If it doesn't reach you, don't listen. It's not for you. It's as easy as that. If God wanted us to all have the same expressions of our gifts he would have given them to us.

Famous.... I disagree that I was "way out of line" because I know Nikki personally and I know she has a good heart; however, I do agree that my choice of language could have been better considering the fact that I am a Christian. Perhaps there was a less harsh way to say what I said but I stand behind the message conveyed.
@krazievocals15 жыл бұрын
You know, it kills me how we have so many critics who are UNDERQUALIFIED in the areas in which they critique... If you are a NON-SINGER with a neagtive report, SHUT YOUR DAMNED MOUTH. As christians, 1 of our responsibilities is to uplift, not tear down... If you listen to her testimony in the clip, you'd realize that Nikki Ross needs your prayers & encouragement. Quit bein ASSES & try being a blessing to one who will minister even out of her hurt.

- CONTINUED- Maybe you should ask yourself what your relationship would sound like if you could sing it..... Grace and Peace
@krazievocals15 жыл бұрын
-CONTINUED- They are literally expressions from within. It's apparent that you are not vocally inclined, and if you are able to half way hold a piece of a note, I would dare to believe that you aren't able to do the riffs and the runs. As one who knows Nikki Ross EXTREMELY WELL (I'm not a fan or a groupie - but I know her FOR REAL, FOR REAL) I will attest to the fact that her vocal presentation is not only tasteful AND timely, but it is the sound of her relationship with the Father.
