Sorry to hear that someone stole your Converse. Personally I hate those big trolleys! When I'm trying to look at a stall and someones trolley is blocking half the stall so others can't get to anything! So frustrating. They aren't the most nibble of things. Quicker to walk around with IKEA bags in my opinion, albeit you have to make more trips back to the car! But I get there early and park on the front row so not a big deal. I think the best thing you can do is widen your horizons so you are open to buying items in more categories. That gives you more options and more stalls to look at. For example, I don’t see you pick up much clothing or trainers. Clothing changed my reselling game, increased my average sale price and opened up all manor of sourcing opportunities.
@Flippingwolfresells19 күн бұрын
Thanks for the support and advice Chris. I think you make a good point, I started out picking up clothing in May, but I have not been able to sell it, mostly sportswear though and football tops, on a plus note 80% of the jackets I picked up sold. I didn't do too well with the Nike or Adidas trainers I picked up tho, I think some more studying is needed here though. Gonna start giving trainers a shot again. I hope you are both having a good holiday.

I am really curious to know what game that is now, I am guessing its PS1, is it Silent Hill? It's mad you know, I have picked that game up twice in 2011, it was only worth £20 back then, now it goes for £100 sometimes. Do you remember when games for Xbox went backwards compatible and Black Ops 1 and 2 were like fetching £50? Crazy time. I agree though, bad manners drives me insane at the carboot.

I go to car boots late generally as i can't be doing with the boot diving etc. I have been reselling for 15 years though and tend to buy and sell things that others don't due to lack of knowledge and I am quite happy selling sub £10 items. Having said that a lot of resellers overlook things looking for the easy things to resell; in other words they are not looking properly because they are focussing on certain items. I regularly buy things at 10 or 11am that are worth £50 to £100 for a few pounds.
@Flippingwolfresells19 күн бұрын
15 years is a long time, do you do KZbin as well? I started in 2010 with my ex, it was her business, the biggest regret was stopping when we split up as it was soo easy back then, not much competition. It's a bit tricky in the Midlands as its not a wealthy area, my finds were a lot better when I was in Cannock, however stuff is still out there as I proved in May. Thanks for the comment pal.

Thanks for the reply. In terms of being quick 😆 I have mobility issues due to an accident, so I am on a walking stick 😆 but I know what you mean. You are right about resellers grouping together, it dies sound crazy. For years we have known each other, it's a nice community, most of them have nieches so we help each other out, we trade, we have been doing it for years, but might need to change that, I think we all do. Yeah we have the knowledge but finding it 😆 Thanks for the comment.

I forgot to mention. There is a reseller group where the admins allow one guy to keep trolling everyone as he hates anonymous posters. His negative cronies like his bullying comments he posts. I think the admins must enjoy the drama too as they won't ban him. I don't get it, the anonymous feature can be disabled so the admins don't think it needs getting rid of. I have seen a few people post on there say that they are leaving due to the bullying. I blocked him and his cronies as negative people who hate the world have nothing positive to contribute and enjoy trying to destroy others in the process. I think he does it to knock people's confidence so they stop reselling and so he and his cronies can get more stock. If he was really successful he would not have time to comment on multiple posts on a Facebook group everyday. Successful people are too busy to spend hours on a small Facebook group. I thought it was best to mention so if people comes across him just block him. People will work out who it is.

Great memories! I remember getting a couple of the astronauts in my Christmas stocking, December 1977, aged 4½. The following Christmas, everything was Star Wars focused, as I worked towards collecting the initial 12 figures to populate my Palitoy Death Star. A wonderful period to be a young child, followed by the early 80s, MOTU, Transformers, etc. and electronic handheld games.
@Flippingwolfresells21 күн бұрын
Wasn't it just amazing, I collected the Star Wars line too, then A Team, MOTU were more expensive so I didn't get many - but my favourite line was GI Joe - it was just so fun getting a vehicle and having to make it yourself. What was the Death Star Like? I never owned one.
@johnadriandalton21 күн бұрын
@@Flippingwolfresells Yes, we had the GI Joe range in the UK, but it was rebranded as 'Action Force'. Mask was another great range at the time. The Palitoy (UK) Death Star was a large hemisphere made of board and featuring some fantastic artwork. This was very different to the plastic Kenner (US) version as plastic was quite expensive at the time due to oil prices and so Palitoy had to budget for a cheaper price point.

It is not right when the decent ones receive the hostility. I saw a reseller trolling their followers the other day as they were called out on telling car booters here is £1 for your item and walking off with the item. He clearly exploited vulnerable people and this incident was a child. He then deleted the evidence. I will only watch the decent ones. A high following does not mean a decent reseller, some a ruthless.
