Hey V we like to cook hotdogs and marshmallows Brother lol , but what is that light in the woods around the 33 minute mark after you finish your soup
@OutdoorsWithV2 күн бұрын
Hey brother! Thank you for watching! I’m looking and don’t see it. Are you referring to the object on the table reflecting the light back at the camera? On the right side of the frame.

I've made Hotdogs, BBQ burgers, chili, Fajitas, stew, and more camping, but breakfast is my fav when camping. From bacon and eggs to breakfast burittos, I love a good camping breakfast. 😊

I should try making stew during one of my campouts! I love that idea. All that food you mentioned sounds amazing outside. Thank you for watching and sharing!

I wish you a lot of luck and pray that you get to a point of doing KZbin full time. I scrapped my old channel and started my new one in 2019. I am about 1/2 way to the number of subscribers and watch time. 90% of my viewers are not subscribed. I personally think it's time KZbin drops that old metric. When I first started in 2007 (old channel) you only needed 10,000 views - but certain KZbinrs ruined that. Anyway best of luck and I enjoy your videos.

I am not a camper but to answer your question, I think a nice bowl of chili made on the fire with all the fixings would be nice. Hearty and warm to help with the relaxation in the cold weather.

Hello V, good to see another video from you😊😊 I especially like the Little Creek it runs by you. The one thing I remember most about camping when I was younger is the smell of bacon frying in the open air, and all of us kids running back to camp shouting bacon! Breakfast! We would like a herd of buffalo coming through!!😮

I’m also a Va backpacker (more central Va) and tend to stay around the Three Ridges/ Cole Mountain area but would love to know where that spot is! I may email you one off. Love the family perspective brother. Your wife allowing you to pursue some outdoor passions? Winning brother! Cheers Rain Smith Mountain Lake, Va

Thank you so much V, your thoughts for us who lost so much in the Hurricanes this month means a lot. We got hammered with a one two punch. Helene and Milton hit us hard and so many people lost everything. Although I had damage to my home, I'm grateful I had a house to go home to. I pray for those who were not so lucky.

Nice to see you back and out camping in a beautiful area. You are one on my favorite outdoor guys next to Luke of The Outdoor Gear Review. He lives in NC and his home got damaged in the storm, but he still got to camp where he could drive in. Praying for the family to get over the flu. I had it back in August and it's miserable!

Wanted to add one more thing. Thanks for your vulnerability. Thanks for sharing your vulnerabilities. One thing I’ve noticed as a 51-year-old, has a lot of foods can lend to inflammation. With all due respect to some of that freeze dried food (oats, flour based starches, etc), a lot of that could be lending to additional inflammation in your body. Keep fighting a good fight.
@OutdoorsWithVАй бұрын
Hello Hank! Thank you so much for subscribing and for taking time out of your day to watch my channel. It’s also nice to hear from a fellow Virginian! As far as your comment regarding freeze dried meals, oats, etc….you are right about that. I’m trying to eat better brother!…..slowly lol.

I just used these and the pillows for a 2 week long road trip. I used it almost every night. It’s comfortable and full disclosure, I’m primarily a side sleeper. So something with more cushion is better. The issue I found was that they bottom out a lot. I have 2 of the largest sized ones to make a queen sized for me and my partner. Also, I’m 5’10” and not very heavy. Same with my partner. You’d expect them to bottom out if you were heavier but they bottom out regardless. They also tend to offer little support for your legs, as your hips completely bottom out the mattress, leaving your legs to just rest almost in the air. My other complaint isn’t exactly hidden so it’s not really something you need a review for. But it’s about its size. It’s bulky. That’s a trade off you have to deal with because you don’t have to inflate it. Just roll it up. I’d say if you really like just a small layer of memory foam that bottoms out, and you’re one person car camping or over landing, go for it. It takes hardly any time to set up. But if you’re like me and need more space in your car when you’re road tripping or camping, I’d go for maybe the exped. The exped mega mat max is more supportive and folds up for more space. The issue I have with that one is that it isn’t offered in a queen size yet. But yeah, these mats offer not too much for the price point. The pillows however? Worth it. Very comfortable, and the way they fold up is really nice. I got the largest size of those too.
