We all experience knee, ankle and joint pain as we get older. I am 62 and found we need to do all we can to reduce inflammation in our bodies with the diet. Foods and beverages increase or decrease inflammation. Inflammation is not our friend and definitely impact pain in the joints and skin issues. Also, rolling a round stick or golf ball from my arch to my heel has helped with my plantar fasciitis. I hope this helps. Great videos🙏🏽

This site and the one that had the clay firepot are the best ones you’ve camped at IMO. This one was so secluded and private that it truly embodies the solitude you are looking for. Great job again with the video. Looking forward to the next one. 💯💯💯

One thing related to your comments about getting older--I'm pushing 50 myself, and one of the regrets I have from when I was in my 30s is that I didn't take advantage of all the outdoors recreation in the southwest region during my first stint living there. I can still go out camping, hiking, etc., but I have to be very mindful of my physical limits and preparations so I don't end up getting hurt in these relatively remote areas. After I moved back to the area four years ago, I've tried to make up for that as much as time and finances allow, and I'll keep doing it until my body won't let me anymore. The aches will continue piling up, but thankfully there will always be places where you can continue to enjoy the outdoors even as you get older.

The outdoors will always be my happy place. As we get older we will just figure out different ways to enjoy it. Thank you for sharing a little bit about your camping experience! I hope you continue to enjoy being outside for a long time to come. Thank you for watching!

Just found your channel due to a shout out from Luke at TheOutdoorGearReview and I am loving your content so far. Your review on the OneTigris Mona was insightful. Your backpacking adventure on this trip is the first one from your channel that I am watching and that's the deciding factor for me to subscribe even though I am still in the middle of watching your backpacking video. This is since, I really like watching overnighters and this overnighter is presented with nicely edited footage, your narration is informative and infused with your friendly personality.

First off as far as comments about you "copying" Luke....who cares???? I've been watching Luke from the beginning so if someone is copying his style, I'm all for it since it's like getting double the content from him. You're a different person going to different places with different gear and you have plenty of your own style so who gives a crap. You also acknowledged from the start that you got into this by watching him and with his direct encouragement. If he doesn't have a problem with it neither should anyone else. But c'mon V!!! If you took anything from Luke it should have been to set up that tarp from the get-go to sit, cook and eat under!! I'll keep watching and enjoying as long as you keep posting so keep 'em coming.

Unless you are testing the water resistance of the tent, a tarp will never be bad. You could BB sit on the front porch in a chair and enjoy.

You are spot on about getting older and we will get older But about 10 years ago my feet hurt so bad so I went to the doctor and got fitted for Orthopedic insoles...It was the best money I ever spent and everytime I put on my shoes I smile...

I love Virginia and I love North Carolina. I just wish I had a vehicle so I could do some camping here in NC. I have videos on my channel showing my survival while homeless. I’m currently in a shelter here in NC. VIRGINIA was getting pretty bad with resources for those with a a low income. It’s hard out here with physical disabilities trying to survive. I’m glad I know how. I love your content and channel. Keep up what you love doing. 😊

This was your most put together video so far in your early journey. U can see the progress with more length and details. Too bad the weather didn't play out the way u hoped for in part of the video, but I say embrace it next time. That will likely be some of your best content...in wild elements. It seems that attracts more attention imo. Keep em coming!

Wanted to add one more thing. Thanks for your vulnerability. Thanks for sharing your vulnerabilities. One thing I’ve noticed as a 51-year-old, has a lot of foods can lend to inflammation. With all due respect to some of that freeze dried food (oats, flour based starches, etc), a lot of that could be lending to additional inflammation in your body. Keep fighting a good fight.

Hello Hank! Thank you so much for subscribing and for taking time out of your day to watch my channel. It’s also nice to hear from a fellow Virginian! As far as your comment regarding freeze dried meals, oats, etc….you are right about that. I’m trying to eat better brother!…..slowly lol.
