Just curious if you have changed gearing on what look like 33” tires but not sure
@rustyintheoutdoors8 күн бұрын
Nope, stock 3.73. Saving up for lockers & will just do it all at the same time. Probably 4.88’s but maybe 4.56’s. I’m looking to get a set of 35’s but only for off roading, don’t want to daily 35’s.
@olympusx46978 күн бұрын
@@rustyintheoutdoors copy that Mine is the same Sahara and I have 32s. Was thinking about 33s but am worried about gearing. Do a lot of highway.
@rustyintheoutdoors8 күн бұрын
@@olympusx4697 If you have the 4.0 & 5 speed, 33’s will be okay. I can still cruise 65-70 mph. Just have to live in 4th gear more often up grades. Width is a big factor. I went with 10.50” instead of the common 12.50”

Great Video...I have a Sahara that needs suspension, is that the Rough Country 2.5" lift? How do you like it? Thanks Dwane
@rustyintheoutdoorsАй бұрын
Yes, that was a RC 2.5” lift. If you’re on a strict budget, yes it’s worth getting. However it’ll sag within a couple years. The shocks are not very good quality, but you get what you pay for. I have a Rock Krawler 3” lift now, much better!

Love your jeeping vids!! I was contemplating on the front arb bumper for my TJ and went with a warn. Bummer choice. Think I’ll get the arb. Also, how does that rack hook to the jeep in the rear? I have a different bumper welded on so I don’t have any bolts back there. Anyhow, make more of these!! Great content.
@rustyintheoutdoorsАй бұрын
I highly recommend ARB bumpers, plus I think they look really good aesthetically. The rack hooks into the 4 main bolts that the rear bumper attaches too. It’s a cheap Smittybilt rack, definitely not my favorite, however it’s simple & works. I would love to get my hands on a Gobi rack instead. Thanks for the kind comment!
@LuaiADVАй бұрын
Love the video be careful pulling the log with the winch like that. the winch is not designed to be used like this. its either pulling or holding a load using the gears. also I would advise you to change the roof rack mounting in the rear from the chassis to the body. They way its attached now will cause stress to front and rear mounting points as you are attaching the body to the frame and with twists it will cause stress.
@rustyintheoutdoorsАй бұрын
Yeah, it was a one time thing. I recently got a new front bumper put on with shackle mounts, so I’ll be using that for tugging in the future. As for the roof rack, that’s the way it’s designed. It’s a cheap Smittybilt, so I wasn’t expecting much. I would much prefer to get a Gobi rack.
