Loved the recap, the second game was rather interesting, and an Italian which could have gone many other ways. Tomorrow will be an interesting game to see how Ding tries to surprise Gukesh in the opening again.

Rf3 simply to attack blacks a3-pawn and after...Nc4 Qf1 to double on f-file threating Rf8 as you show. after Bc5 black is not able to castle. Thanks for your Video 😊

"doesn't look logical to castle into the attack" 10:15 that's because computers are notoriously cold-blooded defenders.

Very intriguing game today, Ding winning was a surprise but a welcome one! Happy we got your insight here as it was really valuable. At 7:44, I don't know why but I liked QC2 rather than QE2, trying to prepare RE1, but it probably would have made the game fall quicker. Keep up the great work Felix ❤

Qc2 is very logical too, since the pawn on c3 would have been protected! Thanks!! I appreciate it!!

I was hoping you'd make a video of your thoughts about the championship, so thanks! 🙂 I rooted for Ding last year and I won't change my mind this year either. He's an exceptional genius and such a nice, humble person who wouldn't hurt a fly. It was really bad to see him struggling, I hope he'll able to come back now. Oh and Rapport is in his team for sure! :)))

Ding confirmed that Richard Rapport is his second again and Ding commented that they're working on surprise openings - expect Ding to come out swinging which will surprise many. Also in their third game, Ding had a winning attack according to Nakamura, but bailed out with a perpetual check.

Great game and tournament! Been loving these videos. Can't wait to see where the journey takes you. I saw in a previous comment your next tournament is in New York. I live in upstate NY (Albany area). Is there opportunities to watch the games live or at least visit the playing hall to meet players? No worries if not. New York is well known for having many top players come and play in tournaments, but I can't always come due to busy schedule, but would be nice to try. Keep up the great work and videos!

Thank you!! 😊 As far as I know there will be tickets to purchase on the official fide world rapid and blitz website! Usually anti cheating measures are very strict in those events so I doubt that Visitors can enter the playing hall... There might be some Lounges though from where you can watch and possibly meet some players!
