I was hoping you'd make a video of your thoughts about the championship, so thanks! 🙂 I rooted for Ding last year and I won't change my mind this year either. He's an exceptional genius and such a nice, humble person who wouldn't hurt a fly. It was really bad to see him struggling, I hope he'll able to come back now. Hopefully, Ding can make it competitive, but his recent form suggests Gukesh will win convincingly.

I expect Catalan/main Line queens Gambit from ding and ruy lopez from gukesh. I think ding will play more positional while gukesh will be a mix of positional and attacking chess

Ding confirmed that Richard Rapport is his second again and Ding commented that they're working on surprise openings - expect Ding to come out swinging which will surprise many. Also in their third game, Ding had a winning attack according to Nakamura, but bailed out with a perpetual check.
