That’s definitely understandable. I think the biggest concern for me is the current “meta” and creature designs. If I was to ask any person who’s played legitimately and has done caves in Ark, what the most useful cave mount on each map would be is? Most answers would Probably line up. I believe there will always be a best creature and there will always a worst creature. However the thresh hold between being the best and mediocre/barely usable should be minimized where possible. I think cryopods slightly help with adding more diversity in regard to how it allows you to use certain creatures. But I can understand feeling deterred by the prospect of using an item like a cryopod.

That’s fair. 5.4 is definitely something we want, but I do find the lack of creature diversity a concern. While cryopods don’t entirely fix that, I do think it breathes some necessary life into the game and does provide players with slightly more options on how they choose to approach the game.

Sorry that’s been an opportunity for awhile. I am hoping as soon as I can get a laptop it will help with decibel control and I can manager spacing in between segments and I have better control over my audio. I tend to rush my audio because it’s on my phone and it picks up everything and I just pray the kids don’t come running into the room. Once I can get a laptop with an actual mic I am sure the audio quality will go up ten fold. Sorry if it was difficult to follow.

I made a 2nd part to this featuring a few bases tailored around raids. It’s my top 10 best made videos. All different locations. I would say location 3 in that video is probably the very best location in the game to deal with raids. Location 7 is good as well.

At this time, I don’t know if I will have time to re visit this build this year, since I’ve got quite a few big projects I am working on. But the primary concern you have to worry about is just building down into the gap. Once you’ve done that you just need to build different levels of foundations. I showcase a bit of this at the end of the video. Sadly I can’t say “this is exactly how I built it” because when aberration released it corrupted my save for ark, so I had to delete all save data and with that this build. It’s important to know though that there are multiple different pillars you could build this at. So each one will be slightly different. But the same rule applies. It’s all about building that initial staircase down into the crevice of the pillar. I honestly believe though, that I had actually found a better one somewhere on the map. As it was directly above water. And this one that I built is no where near water. Sorry I am not able to help more at this time.

You are correct that late game you would have quite the stock pile of resources. I should have been more specific. It’s expensive for what it is. Not necessarily for the parts themselves. If you already have the other 3 items then it really is not needed. The benefit it provides is minimal in comparison to what it would cost you to use it each time. Maybe you could use it for the special event, but outside of that, it’s not really needed. As you can gather all 9 resource nodes for charcoal in less than a minute and you won’t top out your sizzle meter. You can also sit in the sandbox literally all day in grounded with the first 3 items I covered and not have the meter get maxed out. You would be better off farming the insulated larva spike for example instead of just eating that meal every time. In regard to the animation canceling on the crossbow for farming berries, you are correct. Typically you have to worry about damage reduction for animation canceling due to the “rough reload” effect. However, because it’s a resource the reduced damage doesn’t matter. That would make farming them slightly faster with the animation canceling. Additionally instead of running the full route you could do each section at a time and then immediately hop down to pick up your arrows and berry chunks. This would make it so that you don’t need to grab each arrow by pressing the grab interact button. You can simply just walk over them to pick them up. However after a certain time passes you lose that chance. So in regard to speed running the farming of berries, you are 100% right you can animation cancel to save a little time and there are a few other tips as well. In regard to clay, you are also right you can animation cancel with your shovel. It’s especially important when you can’t break resources with 1 hit. I make a point about animation canceling a few times in a few different of my tip videos. That is solid advice for others who don’t know. You could also say that same thing in regard to farming the flower petals that I did with the cross bow in the video. Lastly the breathing underwater. There is 3 different meals that benefit swimming. 1 with speed, 1 with oxygen, and 1 with both. All 3 you will need to get the pond lab first to unlock the recipes. Then you can cook the meals. The smoothies you can get access to prior because all you need to do is analyze some bug parts from creatures in the pond. However once you complete the pond lab you could technically then combine the smoothie and the food with all the methods I mentioned in the video to increase it even farther past the total time you mentioned. It was more about the location and advising to get proper diving gear before attempting to run a full search of the trench for those resources. I certainly had an opportunity to mention the food here like I did at other points in my video. That’s good feedback. You brought up great valid points. Meals help with nearly everything in grounded and should be taken advantage of whenever possible. Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. It’s the British way and I thought was the proper way as I heard another creator say it that way so I followed suit. After doing some research it sounds like both ways are correct. I have a better guide that’s half the length of this video. It’s 6 minutes long. I uploaded it a few weeks ago. I swear I read on the grounded wiki that the feathers were only in October because the wiki is also where I heard about the clock tip. Someone mentioned the changing your clock on a previous video I made, so I looked to fact check it, and the wiki said the clock tip as well. But the wiki does now currently reflect that scare crows are different than the Christmas tree and in fact are year round. Thank you for pointing that out and sharing that feedback.

Yes they are both great maps and deinoychus is easily one the best creatures in the game. At least in my opinion. They really are a lot do fun to use. Looking forward to these new maps 😀

Oh I didn’t even think about that. That’s probably how I got the two that I had in the box that I didn’t notice during recording 😂

Follow the main story until it tasks you with going to the hedge. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I am avoiding specifics like where it is in the hedge, but there is a lever you fill find in the hedge that activates this resource surveyor. Then it powers it on. Then the way that it works is that it uses all resource stations across the map as ping able locations (ones that you have discovered). So let’s say you were looking for sap, as long as you’ve scanned sap at the resource analyzer it will let you look for it. It will then send out a wave in a certain radius around all research stations that you’ve discovered and provide little high lighted areas on the map where that resource is located, if there is any in the radius around each station. I hope that makes sense.

I found that and activated it already, I’ve used the resource surveyor before for other stuff, from what I gathered online some people said because the material is finite it doesn’t appear in the resource surveyor So I don’t know maybe in the past it used to work but I can’t get it to work now

Have you even tried using the resource analyzer to find upgrade materials? You put up an ultimate resource guide, most new people will come to check out Feels like the least you could do is double check it, every single other source online says is a finite resource that can’t be analyzed or search, and in your video there’s no evidence of using the resource analyzer either to find it

@@AK3Xenomorph sorry when you said upgrade materials I wasn’t really considering quartzite or marble. I should have put two and two together as that’s how I labeled them in the video. However you said early game so I figured you were more referring to new materials as a whole. That’s my bad. You are correct about both marble and quartzite. You are unable to scan them. The purpose of that is because the developers wanted to push you out of your comfort zone to look for upgrade materials. As they are scattered all over the map. With the largest groups being in caves. If they allowed you to find upgrade materials through scanning it would allow you to immediately just seek out all the upgrade rocks and get extremely strong gear early. So instead they didn’t give an option to scan them because they wanted to encourage exploration, problem solving and stepping out of your comfort zone. Again apologies I didn’t read your question right the first time.

Interesting. I didn’t test that out. As I just used my previous scar crow footage from a few weeks ago since the devs announced they wouldn’t be extending the event. I am curious, is your time set to default and showing November? Also what mode are you playing. Sadly they is just the cat. You don’t have to bring it with you. You can tell it to stay at your base. What’s interesting is that in other more recent monster hunter games you were able to have a different kind of companion and they were actually more popular than the palico. So I would be interested to see if they give you options in this full game.

I am not sure to be honest. I haven’t played atlas but I do know that they had this bison as a community voted creature a few different times. So there was some suggested abilities for it

They said it had something to do with how tek structures are created slightly differently than the other structures that had the same pieces.
