Why doesn’t Polaris have a shot start type feature on their mountain sleds? Seems silly to pull start all day long. Does BRP have a patent on it?

Hey Jason . Love your sledding channel. Was looking for some advice ? Just moved to Montana here in the USA . And I’m wanting to buy a new sled this year. And I’m a beginner. To mountain tree riding. Was looking at a new old stock 2023 . To save some money. What would be best for a newbie . PRO or KHAOS ?
@JasonCaville21 күн бұрын
@@Davidbrown-jj5vb Thanks! The pro is quite planted on the front, especially with the 165 track. This is designed to keep the front end down when side hilling and going up very steep hills (pro riding I suppose). I’d recommend a Khaos 155 for the fun factor and ability to “steer with your feet.” If you find it wheelies too much you can adjust the track shocks and even put in a shorter or adjustable front limiter strap to keep the front end down. The Khaos front shocks are also noticeably better at bump absorption going down the trail.

@JasonCavilleАй бұрын
The liner and cheek pads are removable. The cheek pads have cutouts for your ears. I imagine you would have no problem installing the speakers. You may need a mounting adapter to attach the Bluetooth module to the outside of the helmet as it’s not a smooth curved outer surface.

50% of the time I’m using the sled for backcountry skiing. Not sure which model and what engine to get. Pro or Kaos? Switchback assault? 9r or 850 boost?
@JasonCaville3 ай бұрын
If you’re just getting into sledding the boost will be a bit of a handful. The extra weight is tougher to manage, but if you’re a confident rider they’re a blast. The Pro is the most capable sled, especially in the 165. I prefer the lighter front end feel of the Khaos, it’s more nimble but less predictable than the Pro. The 9R’s instant acceleration is addicting. My sled is the best option for me. It’s hard to recommend a sled for others as they have different preferences and experience levels. Hope that helps 👍
@chrismcclary1083 ай бұрын
@@JasonCaville your videos and feed back really help. I appreciate it. Watching your videos has helped me decide on the 165 and probably the pro. 850 or the boost is what I’ll probably do based on my elevation. I live at 6,000 feet.. Will be riding up to 10k elevation at times. Love the channel! Thanks for the help!
@michaelhansen75163 ай бұрын
I have the 2.75 track in the previous year's Khaos 9R , but I've had them all. I prefer the Pro in deeper snow, it tracks so much better. But here in the NW we have so many more days of thin snow or you transition to crust on an exposed aspect. The Pro takes a big effort to get and hold an edge in those conditions. The Khaos is very easy. I'd like it if Polaris had an adjustable limiter strap. Having to choose one sled and given that I prefer tree riding, I'm on a Khaos. Climbing is a problem sometimes. As far as the 9R goes, it's snappy and I won't go back. Good review.

@JasonCaville4 ай бұрын
I prefer the light weight of the Carbon F3. The F5 Koroyd is significantly heavier but it is better ventilated for the hottest days. The F5 ece is likely close to the F3 in weight. They also fit quite a bit differently so I’d try them on if I were you and go from there. Hope that was helpful and didn’t make your decision more difficult!

Question for you. Do you think the 9r wheelies better than the boost in conditions shown in your video? I was thinking since the 9r is so snappy off the bottom that it would get up and wheelie easier compared to a boost that needs to get up in RPM before the power hits
@JasonCaville4 ай бұрын
The 9R is definitely lighter and easier to wheelie at slower speeds. The Boost is better for keeping the wheelie going up a slope. Both are so fun
