I love the idea of heated gloves, socks etc but for me the risk of electromagnetic interference (EMI) with my avalanche transceiver (and those in my riding group) isn’t worth the benefit of warmth. Range and accuracy during an avalanche event are my priority and preclude my use of a smart watch, heated clothing, etc. For trail riders and those who ride in flat land terrain I’m sure these socks are great.

Good point! I’d want my transceiver away from anything that sends or receives a signal

@@JasonCaville the heating elements in electric heated clothing produce EMI which interferes with transceivers. There was a study published in 2022 “Electromagnetic Interference from Heated Gloves May Compromise Avalanche Transceiver Function” by Willi Troeger and others in 2022. A Google search will take you there.
