My brother, you are so right. I have told people both of these things. God does not hear the prayer of a sinner unless it's the prayer of repentance and we are not all children of God. People get their nose out of joint on both counts. But hey, you nor I said it. God said it.

The 1988 5th Edition of the Thompson is no longer going to be printed by Zondervan. Their new "Thompson" is called the Comfort Print Edtion. Zondervan has totally eviscerated the Thompson Chain Reference Bible that we all knew and loved. They took out the beloved Archeological Supplement by Dr. Owen. They removed all of those charming hand drawn maps showing the travels of famous Bible Characters through the Holy Land. About 1/3 of the 1988 5th Edition of the Thompson Chain Reference Bible has been excised and you are now left with a truncated, watered down version.

Scofield’s notes on Rev. 14:6 are all I need to say “no” the Scofield Bible is not worth it. Dispensationalism has led to the faulty view of Israel and majority of evangelicals thinking it is biblical to financially support the political state of Israel. There is one way to the Father, period.

There is no perfect translation of the bible. Hebrew, aramaic, and greek to English or from latin to english can be messy. Heres my advice/solution to the world for translations of the bible... Buy the Dewey Rheims bible, the KJV, the NABRE, the NRSV (canada), and the ESV. Now open them all up and read them all in tandem and the word of god will speak to you. U can probably add any translation you want at this point and take them all in. 1 the KJV is poetic and beautiful but has translation errors. 2 the DRV is direct from the latin vulgate from 400AD it is gritty but solid. 3. the 3 modern are easy to read the NRSV is woke due to its gender conforming writing style (I dont like but use it to compare to be fair) the NABRE is the modern catholic standard but not so poetic as the KJV but ok. The ESV is solid translation and has corrections to the KJV but modern like the 2 above none the less. My advice is to have the DRV, the KJV , and whatever bible yer current church holds but have all 3 open and be touched by the actual word of GOD and not man's interpretation of the word of GOD. ❤❤❤ 🙏🙏🙏😜🤪😜🤪 GOD will speak to you. 1 way or another. Stay strong ppl and GOD bless you all. ❤❤❤

@@faithtowalkministries132 I apprecdiate that answer, Brother. I got a nasty crinkle here and there because I am laying concordances or other books on the Bible as I research things. It doesn't take much on such thin pages and woops there it goes. I tried an idea from one youtuber that said stroking the crinkles with a bone folder will fix it... NOPE. That is an absolute failure. I was concerned about the thin paper and if it would scorch or fade ink.

I just picked up my first premium Bible a few weeks ago and I take and intend to take it everywhere. I hope to use it for the rest of my life and build up a nice patina on it over time. A big selling point is the higher quality paper and construction. I would be very disappointed if someone stole it. Not because it was gone but because it’s a Bible there is something worse about stealing that 🤷‍♂️

NOW we know why Kirkbride was just going through the motions by putting out such poorly printed Bibles. They were in negotiations to be bought out by Zondervan. Zondervan to their credit has a much better quality control than Kirkbride. Back in the day Dr. Thompson joined with a man named B.B. Kirkbride to print and distribute the TCR. They made their Bibles with a commitment to quality. Compare the 4th Edition printed in the 1960s to a contemporary one. .

I like that we have this conversation about translations, however, not that it is a stumbling block to those who are just getting to know Jesus. This seems like an academic conversation, or rather for those who go deeper, which although I’d desire all to do, can concede that too deep too soon can be adverse. Everyone’s journey is different, but those would be the exceptions, not the majority, so to expect this of everyone would be putting a burden that we ourselves wouldn’t have been able to carry if we were given it before we had the strength only God can give. Thank you for this video, as it allowed me to appreciate this dialogue better, but also knowing when, who, and where is the proper place. God bless you brother
