Would you agree this is overkill for someone who uses united 2-3x a year ? And would be better off going with explorer or quest

I think it should have stronger benefits for single and married couples without kids (DINKs). Who travels with 8 companions ? Is the card aimed to large families or wanna be travel agents booking conference flights ? Also for remote workers who want to use the lounge for productivity, the last thing you want is for it to be packed with unruly kids and screaming babies everywhere. Not sure if the card translates into benefits for executives who travel alone either for business or for pleasure. For example, it could return 10x miles for rentals of luxury car and SUVs, and also grant more miles as well whenever you're traveling solo or in a party of two. And more complimentary upgrades to first or main cabin extra would be appreciated as well - for example, the company portal has a restriction on first/business flight booking, which are only available for flights over 1000 miles long, and this card could be a way around that restriction. The Lyft and Grubhub $10 credit seem too small (unimpressive). I don't usually order food online anyway (tips and delivery charges add up too fast).

Failed to mention 3x bonus points on b of a travel portal purchases (not a new feature since your review). With preferred rewards this bumps to over 5%, so that’s more than competitive with CSP in that category (if you are already B of A customer). Also this bump gets better if you have another companion B of A card and redeem in a specific way. Just wanted to highlight this.

I got the Smartly with US Bank, which has an unlimited 2% back. I regret not knowing about the Altitude Go card first because the 4% on restaurants would be a great benefit for me. I'm thinking of applying for it in 9 months. I like the Smartly for it's unlimited 2%. It's better than Chase's Unlimited 1.5% If I put more into my account, I could get up to 4%.

Add 5 more miles per dollar as a United Mileage Plus member. So you get 8 miles/$1 on United purchases. I booked a $1300 United round trip through the Chase travel portal and got 5X Chase UR points + 5X United Mileage Plus points (after I went on the United portal and added my trip). And remember those Chase points are worth 7.5X when redeemed for future Chase bookings.

I have this beautiful card. You are allowed TWO guests for free (not one). One negative of this card is that authorized users don’t get access to United Club Lounges 😢 like the beautiful Citi AAdvantage Executive and the beautiful Amex Delta Reserve do 🎉.

Hey Scott, great video thanks for sharing! I have enjoyed several of your videos. Looks like you’ve been to some really cool places. Anyway, to answer your question, this quarter I plan on using a new card. I just got the Hilton honors business card with 5X back on everything. So going to work toward that sign up bonus! I also plan on maxing out our Chase freedom flex cards as well! And lastly finishing up a sign up bonus on another new card I recently got the US Bank business leverage card. Seeing several places including visiting Normandy France 🇫🇷 since I have always wanted to walk on the beaches of Normandy. Also Got a trip planned to either the Caribbean or Mexico for one of those all inclusive. Also Hoping to visit Toronto and see a blue jays game. And then several domestic trips as well, including checking out the lights festival in Saint Augustine, Florida. So the more points the better LOL

I seriously hate US Bank with a seething passion for discontinuing the USBAR. Product changing is out of the question too because they gave me a pitiful $500 limit on the Altitude Connect.

I got all my annual fee back when they credit TSA fee and seat upgrade fee. For earning 3.5% on dinning and travel, no other credit card can beat it. Although it has no partners to transfer the points with, but you can redeem your points through statement credit and you can redeem it with one cent per point. I think you have more freedom using the statement credit to pay off your airplane ticket or other travel charges.

Are you talking about the annual fee? If so, then "yes". The annual fee is waived for active duty military. I was active duty Air Force for 20 years and have the fee waived during service.
