ok I know I will get smashed for what I am going to write and I am more than sweet with it. Saul Hudson/'Slash' is arguably 'the' most brilliantly globally marketed guitarist in modern rock history. Anyone familiar with the formation of GnR - which sprang up after Axl left the band he was first in called 'Hollywood Rose' - Axl drafted Hudson into the band, the real genius of GnR Izzy Stradlin, Duff followed. One of Hudson's best mates growing up was also a young hungry teen by the name of Tracii Guns - the 'Guns' in GnR comes from Tracii's surname. If one is truly objective - Slash vs Tracii is not even remotely close - Tracii Guns' disastrous decision to stay with Phil Lewis from the UK glam band "Girl", who also had Phil Collen, was a massive decision in terms of his financial future was concerned - Tracii Guns 'should' have the same bank balance Slash does - and Slash only imo returned to GnR because his divorce was SO costly under the State of California Divorce Statute [s]. Hudson 'is' a really good guitarist - I fully admit this - but he is not a Tracii Guns, very similar roles both play, but Tracii Guns nowadays plays County Fairs, Casino's, and the same places all 80's metal bands played back in the 80's in Hollywood - while Hudson still fills an areana. What many might not also know is Slash and to a leder extent Axl, have been massive fans of 'The Tatts' for decades - Slash is also a close friend with 'Angry' Anderson - GnR giving Rose Tatoo the opening gig on tour just a very small but significant example of the massive respect and friendship between these men. If you ask 9 out of 10 people anywhere in the world "do you know of Slash"? 100% you receive a big "yes". If you ask "have you ever heard of Tracii Guns" - you would be lucky to get a single person who knows who Tracii is. Life sometimes just is not fair - if Tracii could time travel 100% Tracii would have followed Axl into GnR.

Never really been a James Blunt fan, but after seeing him cover one of my favourite Slade songs, I may have to reconsider! Thanks for the video, it's great!

As mutch as i Adore Debbie Harry and the Blondie Band, Maybe she could consider stepping off stage and do other things she's good at , Like writing lyrics or being a music producer That sort of thing, But ultimately thats her own choice. 😍

Hear all those people talking? That constant murmur of conversation? That's what every single concert in the world sounds like now. It doesn't matter who the performer is. It doesn't matter how much the tickets cost. People are just going to talk and talk and talk the entire time. Saw Elvis Costello a few years back and I learned a great deal about some guy's cell phone plan over the course of the show. Naturally, that's the sort of thing that can't wait for the concert to be over. People want to know about everyone else's cell phone plans NOW.

@pkmcburroughs My theory: A lot of those people are clueless about quality music and simply want to tell/show (via selfies) that they were at the fill-in-the-blank concert so other people will 'like' them.
@geoffreybruce83719 ай бұрын
Agree totally, some people just want to prove they were there and have no respect for the performers or the audience.🎶🎶🎶

@@YouzTube99 Sounds like a good theory. Everyone is out collecting "experiences" to share, without bothering to experience the actual experience. I also think there's something psychological going on, and that so many people are so incredibly self-absorbed right now that many can't even IMAGINE allowing anyone or anything around them to steal away all of that precious attention that should be going to them. They simply cannot turn themselves off for a moment to enjoy anything outside themselves.

She was a media creation to begin with. Also was style over substance
@pkmcburroughs9 ай бұрын
What media created her again? And did they get her gigs at CBGB's? Did they also make her play in a bunch of other bands BEFORE she co-founded Blondie? And I'd say it was more style AND substance.
