Slash cut his teeth watching Rose Tattoo in the states in the early 1980's

"The Tatts" were a significant influence on Slash - not so much his teenage mate Tracii Guns - the song "The Butcher + Fast Eddie" is a classic. The lyrics to the song are so apt in today's times where the young resort to carrying knives and weapons - the days where you'd rock up for a punch on are well over - anyone carrying a knife was disowned by their own gang leader. It [carrying/using knives] was just unthinkable. I remember well we Sandringham [Sandy] Boys punched on with the Oakleigh Wogs and our gang leader on the night Shane [Raffles] made it crystal there would be NO knives or weapons. Today's young are a pampered bunch of gutless dogs. They would not last a week in Turana or Beltara - which are gone after Kennett privatised detention for teenagers - and the Bracks Government Attorney General Robert Hulls [AG for a decade - the damage he has done is incalculable] appointed en masse former human rights lawyers as magistrates and judges which has put in place, even 'with' mandatory sentencing' a criminal justice system that calls it's inmates "clients". VicPol has been, like in the United States 'weaponised' politically under Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allen, both soft on crime, anti Israel, but Hulls also allowed that fat slag Christine Nixon with Simon Wonderland to turn VicPol into a bunch of sops - their actions under civid were a short term aberration - the fitness standards for VicPol are beyond comical, SO MANY plods, mostly women are so overweight, they do not even meet height requirements but are flagged through the Academy, DEI/the insidious Canadian policy of 'multiculturalism' has rotted out VicPol entirely. You cannot make this shit up. And with a State Liberal Party being the joke/useless mob they are there has been NO accountability for over a decade. The entire criminal justice system is broken - when we were pulled over the 'Ds' used to throw us up against a wall - nowadays it's all "please do this, please do that" BS.

ok I know I will get smashed for what I am going to write and I am more than sweet with it. Saul Hudson/'Slash' is arguably 'the' most brilliantly globally marketed guitarist in modern rock history. Anyone familiar with the formation of GnR - which sprang up after Axl left the band he was first in called 'Hollywood Rose' - Axl drafted Hudson into the band, the real genius of GnR Izzy Stradlin, Duff followed. One of Hudson's best mates growing up was also a young hungry teen by the name of Tracii Guns - the 'Guns' in GnR comes from Tracii's surname. If one is truly objective - Slash vs Tracii is not even remotely close - Tracii Guns' disastrous decision to stay with Phil Lewis from the UK glam band "Girl", who also had Phil Collen, was a massive decision in terms of his financial future was concerned - Tracii Guns 'should' have the same bank balance Slash does - and Slash only imo returned to GnR because his divorce was SO costly under the State of California Divorce Statute [s]. Hudson 'is' a really good guitarist - I fully admit this - but he is not a Tracii Guns, very similar roles both play, but Tracii Guns nowadays plays County Fairs, Casino's, and the same places all 80's metal bands played back in the 80's in Hollywood - while Hudson still fills an areana. What many might not also know is Slash and to a leder extent Axl, have been massive fans of 'The Tatts' for decades - Slash is also a close friend with 'Angry' Anderson - GnR giving Rose Tatoo the opening gig on tour just a very small but significant example of the massive respect and friendship between these men. If you ask 9 out of 10 people anywhere in the world "do you know of Slash"? 100% you receive a big "yes". If you ask "have you ever heard of Tracii Guns" - you would be lucky to get a single person who knows who Tracii is. Life sometimes just is not fair - if Tracii could time travel 100% Tracii would have followed Axl into GnR.

I can't Believe Angry Anderson is doing 1 of Rose Tattoos Best Songs 'Scarred For Life' as Loved that L.P as a Teenager growing up in Alice Springs ☝️ 'We Can't Be Beating' 👍 BUT many years later when flew from Perth to Melbourne to see Guns & Roses - Use Your Illusion Tour with R.T Supportin' + then catchin' R.T at least twice over 2 weeks holidays in Victoria then South Australia was So Disappointed Rose Tattoo did not play the 2 Songs i mentioned above 😳 My Absolute Favourites 👎 at least Angry not wearin' white overalls he always wore back then
