This is interesting. Can we help them evolve smarter? This is exactly the video I searched for. My crested who’s a girl I started tapping on the rim on the tank to get her to come then I’ll show her the meal worm. I been trying to build trust between us. I think she came with some trauma from petco. It’s been working. My question was how much thought do they have because I think she connected that to the moment right before that to the food which I hoped she would. I’m gonna try to do other things throughout the years. But I am curious to how smart they are and can be

My crested gecko is around 26 grams and he doesn’t care to eat insects. I have him on the Pangea figs and infects. Would the Pangea growth you mention be better to put weight on him then the figs and insects? He’s also 2 years old. I got him about a month ago from a breeder.

I have a crested gecko and he is 26 grams. I have him in a 12x12x18 enclosure. He seems to like it. He moves all night in it and he likes to hide in his humid hide during the day. My question is, shoukd I get him a 18x18x24 enclosure or leave him in his current enclosure?

I would definitely look to get him a bigger setup and I think he’s a good size to move into his permanent home now

@@MattBrooks457 okay. I was thinking I should but just on the fence. I just added a uvb bulb and he seems to be out more during the day now compared to when I didn’t have one. I have the 2.4% shade dweller.

our gecko was terrified of living food and refused to eat it. We've been leaving freshly pre-killed insects which she does eat. now that she's in a decent size tank I'm unsure of trying living food again since it's hard to track rather or not she found it or that it's hiding between plants. And rather or not she's actually eating them. Should I keep giving her the pre-killed & fruit mix?

you got called a scammer because you canceled the buyers order from your website then listed the geckos they purchased from your website, onto morph market for auction (I checked, you did)

You're half right, I did take them down from my website and list them on MM but it didn't have anything to do with the customer I mentioned in this video. In the case I mentioned, which is what you're referring to, the customer purchased them too late in the week for me to ship a wholesale order and they were just unpleasant and rude in general. They called me scummy not a scammer (my mistake in wording) for making them wait a week to ship their geckos. They wanted me to ship over the weekend which is something I don't do because they had a show that they wanted to resell the geckos at. They argued that since other breeders do it (I don't know any) that I should do it too. They felt I had wronged them for charging them overnight shipping because they would have to wait to receive them. Given all this I decided it was best to cancel and refund their order which I did for all the reasons mentioned in this video.

I have also heard since this happened this individual has caused issues with other breeders too. I'd say my gut feeling was right and like mentioned in the video, if someone is trouble before or during a sale they'll be trouble after it too. Not only was it the right decision to cancel their order, I'd say I dodged a bullet too :)

My house usually stays at 70 to 80 year round based on where the AC is and the heat in the winter. I do let sunlight in but it’s across the room. It’s more to just stimulate his cicadic rhythm

How long does it take for them to get color? We bought a ‘fire crested gecko’ as a hatchling and he’s still brownish. That was like 3 months ago or more.
