Thanks for the nice comment! playing the original at half tempo for the fast phrases and listening to them one by one. But that one in the beginning of this one was hard to hear even after doing that.😂

great composition. tho outside of the instruments i dont think it sounds like ys 8 or 9 at all. the music itself is to different from modern ys to really sound like they came form those games without some kind of overhaul. sounds closer to something from celceta, or some of the harder tracks in cold steel, but even then. song is just too fast paced to really fit in. if any of that makes sense

Yeah, i agree in the end. Its very hard to listen to this composition and not think about 80' VGM. That constant drive (or gallop) from the rhythm guitar and bass is something you dont have anymore.

@rpzamer1218 Thanks for your comment. You're right, retro game music with this kind of rhythm would be more comfortable to listen to now if they changed the rhythm like Chronicles or made it trance music like Felghana, but I don't know what the influence is myself, but I enjoy this one more

you know, this is just me but to me this theme belongs to avalodragil, i know its just the main boss theme, but somehow this fits the Allosaurus much more to me. maybe it has something to do with all my D&D games but still

as strange as it is, i always thought ys 7's boss theme was a little mid. its better than like ys 8's boss themes, or one of 9's or 5's, but it falls behind a lot of others in the older games like 3, 4, and 6.. great remix tho

Thanks,The music in 7 has a style that's somewhere between 8 onwards and 6, so you might think so if that's your preference.

well its not just the style. because yes there is a style change at that point, but i love plenty of music from 8 and 9. but i think the boss track itself just offers less than others. like examples of 8 and 9 boss music i like more is mostrum spectrum and (i for get what is called) the boss 3ed boss music in 8 (the one for the guys in the tree)@@Masked8bitmk2SR

Vacant Interference was THE song that sold me on the series and Falcom as a whole back when the PSP version of Seven came out and I decided to try the series out. Heard that opening build up and the drop and it was all over. Fantastic work.
