great composition. tho outside of the instruments i dont think it sounds like ys 8 or 9 at all. the music itself is to different from modern ys to really sound like they came form those games without some kind of overhaul. sounds closer to something from celceta, or some of the harder tracks in cold steel, but even then. song is just too fast paced to really fit in. if any of that makes sense

Yeah, i agree in the end. Its very hard to listen to this composition and not think about 80' VGM. That constant drive (or gallop) from the rhythm guitar and bass is something you dont have anymore.

@rpzamer1218 Thanks for your comment. You're right, retro game music with this kind of rhythm would be more comfortable to listen to now if they changed the rhythm like Chronicles or made it trance music like Felghana, but I don't know what the influence is myself, but I enjoy this one more
