Oh man, thank you so much! I had to replace the plastic pulley and did not know what I was going to do or how to do it. Plus, you showed many other things that I needed to do to stop the screeching on other machines! Just perfectly explanatory with accompanying video made this easy to understand. You sir, have a gift. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much! You covered every possible problem! I just bought an old snapper to restore and it has all this old tech on the pull cord, and the cord does not retract well, and the clutch does not engage anymore, all of this will help me get er going again ! Motor runs well, for its age, it is a 12 horse I/C. quiet motor. Can't wait to fix er up as my backup mower. You are the man. I could not live in Canada, too cold for too long. Been there in August before, Nestor Falls, cold nights in august! Good fishing though!

The white wheel that you connect the spring to is broken. Not the spring but the white plastic spring catch. Where can you buy a new white wheel? I have a 3.0 Briggs and stratton engine Model No. QMY-140 A

I’ve learned enough about mechanical systems and their not so obvious intricacies to know when I’m listening to someone who has had fingers deep into something at the same time he was observing and questioning and able to learn from each experience as he trudged the road to broad expertise. This guy has been there, without a doubt, and offers a huge amount of information in this video. Thank you kind sir. Respect.

Yah, you make this look easy! All can say is that top spring is a b***h to install. Sorry, even using the right tool, it’s still a challenge. I’m very disappointed in Honda! Honda could have done alot better!!! This is coming from a guy with many years of auto mechanic experience!!!

I just got done putting a 15.5 briggs into a JD 111. I am glad I turned the 11 off before that happened. It started trying to bounce up and down when it ran out of oil. It sounded like a death rattle. I haven't opened it up to see it yet. With the 15.5 it cuts really well. I have the snowblower so I am hoping that helps with that too.

28 comments on a great video that is 13 years old?!?!? Well, this dude obviously knows carbs inside and out, every damn detail, and then he does a cold cut that basically states that he hates them.

Do you think my window mounted air conditioner is repairable? It was in the bed of a pick up truck, and water from 20 gallon container burst and it was flooded. Now it won't work. :( It's so hot in the summer.
