My ‘69 isn’t locking up but the right side axle began puking out hydraulic fluid by the gallon. I’m guessing the seal is in roughly the same condition as yours? Though after seeing you use your torch on that I ordered a 5’ x 3” brass rod and turned a drift pin custom for removing this seal and bearing.

¨i had this little grease fitting which i didn't know i had¨ Im sure there are lots of other grease fitting which are long forgotten on that tractor !!! I have a similar Case tractor

To get a race out of a blind hole this don't sound right but take your welder and weld a short bead on race it will draw it up it will fall out.

You should always disassemble the machine first before you buy the parts. For example, Dave didn't need that $500 shaft, which I assume he was able to take back to the store. If you search online for "exploded view" or "parts list" using the model number of your tractor, you should be able to find a list of relevant part numbers for your machine.

Something's not right there, those bearing cones and seals are supposed pressed onto each shaft before installing into the housing. ~ Never hammer against a new bearing, it will shorten the life of it.
