The fking thing is vivity will perform well only when it was installed in both eyes, setting vivity in one eye and asking th😢e comparison is bad idea where few many surgeons trying to show in KZbin videos

I had Clearview 3 lenses placed in October 2024. My left eye is clear and focused at all distances. The focus in my right eye fluctuates during the day. My refraction is close to Plano in both eyes but I have a 1.5 diopters of astigmatism. I developed dry eye after surgery but it seems to be slowly improving after I started using eye drops and taking fish oil supplements. The surgeon performed the cataract surgery with the femtolaser but I'm not sure if he did the limbal relaxing during the surgery to correct the astigmatism.

Someone in my family has severe glaucoma. They've already had the surgery to lower pressure in both eyes and to improve long vision. However, what kind of lenses do you recommend they get for progressive lenses? Does someone with severe glaucoma need the best lenses since its more of an optic nerve issue?

I had surgery 2 months ago and have floaters, and,my eyes are now very sensitive to light. If I go I to a store I have to put sun glasses on. I still have a black shadow and at times my eyes fell heavy. Kind of wish I didn't have it done.

Hello Doctor Krad, do you have any opinions on the puresee iols, tha KS in advanced.

I recently had eye surgery here n the UK 🇬🇧 and chose the J&J TECNIS PureSee EDOF lens, really happy with the results and can see at most distances except very close up when readers are required but, viewing texts on my phone is great and most reading is fine especially with good lighting…… hope this helps.

I wonder about the initial concept of this surgery. I wonder how many years under study before this was attempted on a live person. What was the outcome, complications, etc. Thank God for the Incredible minds, dedication and courage to those who made this happen and continue to improve!!

Toric IOL is not a good option here.
@DoctorKradКүн бұрын
I agree it's not ideal. I actually recommended basic monofocal as my first choice for this patient, since toric is less than ideal. But they really wanted a Toric for their astigmatism. Fortunately the toric alignment has been stable

Very nice work. I’m a big fan of bimanual IA- I think it’s safer especially when going after subincisional. At the least, a 90 degree IA tip makee life easier- I learned that from Mackool who uses that routinely

I have had my PanOptix for 4 years now and I could not ask for anything better no glasses for anything and can read the smallest print up close. Sure glad I went with them. Just make sure you choose the right doctor that does a lot of them. A lot of doctors try to talk you out of getting them.

Not a doctor, but a cataract surgery patient who got addicted to watching these surgeries for some weird reason. This one had me glued to the screen. Perfect music and lack of narration keeps one focused. Love the calm surgeon voice too, but this had me almost biting my nails. Hope the patient has good vision.

I would love to find a doctor who gives an approximate range that the Clearview 3 currently work for. I have looked all over the internet with no answer. Again, I understand that it would be an approximation and every human eye is different. If my contact lens Rx is -9.5 would I most likely be a candidate for the Clearview 3 iol or most likely not? Please give us a range for which these lenses are currently available. Thank you.

I have had the J&J Eyhance implanted into both of my eyes. My vision is 20:20 in both eyes. Within an hour after surgery I was seeing clearly and have had no issues with either implant. I would recommend this lens to everybody. Very pleased with the results.

Thank you so much for this video. During my cataract consultation, my US ophthalmologist highly recommended the enVista Envy Toric based upon high satisfaction of his patients, thus far. I love the Canadian perspective of the "artistic" halos. I'll try to have the same positive vibes! 🥰😘🥰

Oh my God. That was terrifying. Your KZbin video just popped up and I watched. I had retina detachments in both eyes. In my right eye in 2017. Lens replacements both eyes in January 2018 and then retinal detachment in March 2018 in my left eye. Prior to this I wore glasses ranging from minus 7 to minus 11 over the years. In 2024 I had yag laser for my right eye and probably will need yag laser next year. My eye pressure is unstable, usually near or over 20 in both eyes I am not diabetic but have a very sweet tooth. Since July 2024 I have reduced my sugar intake by about 90% and since then my eye pressure has reduced to 10 and 12 That is the lowest since 2017. I do use eye drops to control the pressure, but I think the high sugar intake was effecting the pressure. The reason I commented was on how brave that patient was Thank God I opted for full anaesthetic for all retinal and lens surgery The yag laser treatment was a breeze but the thought of going through that surgery without full anaesthetic fills me with dread

I have cataracts. Next year I'm having a standard monofocal in my very lazy eye and a Vivity EDOF in my good eye. Will report back if I can find this video again. I'm fully expecting to need glasses for reading but am very interested in what the distance and intermediate will be like.

Wow this was really cool to watch.. I had heard that the cataract surgery basically involved getting up underneath that flap and using the instrument to break up the cataract which also acts as a vacuum and sucks all the cataract up into that tube out the eye.. I had a retinal tear in 2016 but have not had any advanced cataract as a result.. I do have cataracts slowly forming but nothing terribly impeding at this point. Part of me looks forward to having the cataract surgery so that I don't have to wear glasses for distance anymore.. but not thrilled about giving up my close-up vision which is really good right now and I don't have to use any type of readers. I know that there's an option for a multifocal lenses but I used to do multifocal contact lenses and I've also done where just one lens for distance vision in one eye and no correction in the other eye.. it works good during the day but that's about it. Can I just have some brand new eyeballs please😅😅😅
