I know how much the asian nations have contributed to the custom keyboard scene, but in the United States, we have Norbauer.

Hi, does the heavy 9 for the fc980c converts the keyboard to type c? (comes with the daughterboard/pcb). Thank you
@RyanNorbauer
@RyanNorbauer 10 ай бұрын
It just uses the breakout PCB that comes with the FC980C/M

@@RyanNorbauer thanks! I ordered a board that should adapt the fc980c to type c. Does the heavy 9 allow for a type c cable to be plugged to the keyboard then or does it require extra machining (since type c and micro usb have a different size/form factor). Thanks!

@@jd5787 I think you might need to file the hole open slightly larger. I’ve heard of other people doing this but of course it’s not my recommended approach. Why not use a cable that has micro on one end and C on the other?

@@RyanNorbauer sounds like a smarter workaround than filing an expensive custom board! Thanks

Ha one more question, is there somewhere on the website where it is possible to see the different variations of colors by angle of view?

To be fair, those words are not semantically equivalent. One can suspect a thing to be true but not think it so.

Hey Ryan, hope all is well. I've been in the keyboard game for a couple years now, have owned a couple dozen enthusiast-grade boards, but have never given poly a chance. I've only ever purchased aluminum boards. With two kids at the house and a lot of gaming time at my desk, I've always felt I'd eventually crack it or damage it in other ways. I might drop my phone on it (which I've done a couple times now), or I might smack it with my mouse if I'm playing games (not hard, but I digress). Being that you're the expert here, can you sell me on it besides the fact that it's absolutely gorgeous? A board in question is the new Archetype Minerva that has an aluminum bottom and polycarbonate top. I know the issues with overtightening, but I'm more concerned with everyday use. I will not be displaying it, I'll be typing on it for several hours every other day. If you're able to spare time to see this and respond, I really appreciate your input.
