Some of the changes that was made in the dub were just confusing. As a kid, I found it a bit weird that she would friend zone herself since she and Dan obviously had a thing going on. But I didn't give it much thought. Years later, I learned that she actually said "I love you, Dan". Now this scene makes sense. Were the official translators run by old men?! Seriously?! This was during a period of Hannah Montana, Danny Phantom, Avatar, and so on. Kids have heard other kids say "I love you". This is just as annoying as the PPG reboot made Ms. Keem flat-chested as if kids ever minded it.
