I'm having so much trouble understanding the 1 and the 2 on the strum pattern. I try to watch your hand and the pattern at the same time but I can't understand the numbers

Thank you for teaching this song. My Grandfather Thomas Harrison wrote this song and I'm certain he would have loved to see it being sung by people still to this day. He passed when I was 11 years old in Columbus, Ohio in 1981 and I never got to see him perform his song personally so it's really cool to see it performed and enjoyed by people over 40 years later. Keep up the great work!

Was I not supposed to the cut the excess string by the tuners until I had them tuned to the correct pitch? I had tightened them a bit but not the entire way, I thought we were supposed to leave it a little bit off. Since I cut them, there wasn’t enough string to keep on tuning. I’m new to this so I don’t really understand the physics of it but oh well Edit: what happened is that the strings came off and loosened themselves because I don’t think there was enough string by the tuners. Is that it? Did I cut it too early? Why isn’t it coming off yours? Lol

It sounded to me like the plucking had changed timing when it went full speed but No, slowed down to 0.25% is was exactly the same. Quite a relief to learn I'm just not fast enough yet.

Don't know whether to attempt to learn this or just cry in hopeless and bereft musical despair ... But I must add Stu that your 'Stuck in the Middle' is my showpiece. That introduction gives me mega uke credibility 😁 I have performed in a show or two lately as a duo, thanks to your great tuition 😁
