I’m the same age as Real, grew up 10 mins away from Detroit, and listened to all the same hip hop as him growing up. He rarely surprises me with what he likes from em. I’d love to see him do all the albums In a row. They really do make more sense when done in a row. Slim Shady Lp is low key a classic. It’s was brand new. Reminded me of when snoop came out- nobody was rapping like that flow wise, story telling, and content wise. It was super raw and unfiltered with insane flows. After that, he sprung to fame. Got a ton of backlash for his tongue in cheek lyrics that shocked people on slim shady lp. The critics fueled him on his next LP, Marshall mathers. He also documented his struggles adjusting to this new found fame. He added more shock value stuff because to troll those who protested against him. Ironically, the critics helped shape this album because the more they complained the more offensive he got. He also showed incredible lyricism on this album. I know you’d like the song “Marshall mathers” where he I destroys ICP for “claiming Detroit but living 20 miles away” and saying they’ve “never seen a mile road south of 10” lol. Because em became a huge commercial success, he took aim at boy bands and other pops stars along with Vanilla ice to ensure it was known he was an emcee not a pop star. He hated being categorized with them. The creativity is off the charts. Cannot hate on MMLP. But, On Eminem Show, he spilled his guts and showed every side of himself reminiscent of Tupac. He had just went to jail for staking out the club Kim was in and pistol whipping the bouncer who he saw kissing her. He had just gotten custody of Hallie all while at the height of his addiction. He got stuff off his chest about his mom (cleaning out my closet) and showed how all of these things happening at once (fame, jail, custody) made want to quit or even kill himself (say goodbye to Hollywood) at the same time bringing probably his hardest and straight forward flows (soldier) . There are some good diss records on the Eminem show. He he staking claim as the boogeyman of rap while daring any rapper to try to diss him in “business” and “till I collapse”. Went after Canibus, who had one of the best diss tracks of all time -2nd round ko - (if you know you know) on “square dance” and hits him again on “say what you say” while Dre disses Jermaine Dupri. Gets introspective and pulls you in on “sing for the moment” and shows he understands the impact he’s had on America while calling out the hypocrisy of the government and attacking George Bush and highlighting his right to free speech on “white america”. Also, like Pac shows his softer side and his love for his daughter on Hallie’s song and throws her on a track to hilariously troll the critics again on “my dad’s gone crazy”. The album has so many new and complex flows and includes major hits like “Superman” and “without me”. Even on the D12 track “when the music stops”, he spits one of my favorite versus at the time. Overall, Eminem show is the most introspective, honest and hardest album in my view. I do think it’s a good idea to start from the beginning (like Stevie Knight did) and it will all make more sense and I bet you’ll stop calling yourself the em hater. Stevie didn’t like em and now after doing that is one of his biggest proponents. 😭I can actually tell he’s growing on you though. I understand though, it was almost like a boycott from those raised in the hood in the Detroit. My brother was in juvie and jail and hated him too. His skill, impact, dedication to the craft, and respect for the culture is undeniable. Some people didn’t give it a chance because they thought he was “pop” and was everywhere. By the way, Em has some of the coldest diss tracks out there (Bully, quitter, nail in the coffin, go to sleep, the Sauce, the invasion 1, 2 and 3 and others). Have you considered going through each battle in chronological order and listening to both sides of the battles? Em was a straight killer back in the day in those battles. He had to fight for his respect. IMO that’s another reason he got respect from the best emcees and nobody wanted to see him. He was relentless and ended several careers (canibus, everlast- aka Whitey ford, ja rule, benzino, limp biscuit, dilated peoples to name a few). I think you’d find a new appreciation if you started from the beginning and saw the progression of his art. I’d start at infinite go to Slim shady lp, Eminem show, encore (which was right before he od’d and almost died). took a 5 year hiatus at the height of his stardom (which is usually a death sentence for an artist). He had to figure out how to rap again (now sober) and his style and flow evolved from there. Relapse was next and was a darker (more chaotic and horror core type album and he discusses his addiction a lot) that was not received well by critics but still sold well and won a Grammy. “recovery” was the next album and was the best selling album in the us that year and also won best rap album Grammy but was more introspective and on an emotional high after being sober for a while now. Next in Marshall mathers lp 2, he really started “barring” more with doubles and shit and did really well, “revival” his next album got a lot of criticism. He completely changed/evolved his flows and this album was bar dense. Critics and even some fellow rappers (tyler, Budden etc) hated on this album publicly. It was new and different. This album has aged really well imo and has shown it was ahead of its time. Because of all that criticism, em said fuck it and dropped “Kamikazee” which was basically an entire album firing back at critics or anyone who disrespected him. After that, Em improved and evolved his flow again on side an and b of “music to be murdered by” which I think is not only some of his best work but is some of the most elite writing ever - mixing nasty bars with smoother flows while making the bars easier to catch. Then we got death of slim shady. I didn’t go through the other stuff he did with slaughterhouse like shady Xv and the Royce collab but those albums are barred the fuck up too. These were before kamikazee somewhere in there. He was rapping so fast it was work to catch the bars. But when you did, it was as elite as it gets. Some of his best verses on those two. You should have all the info you need, to pick an album now. Lmao. My favorite is Eminem show. However, my recommendation is to start at infinite (which you would love because it’s old school east coast style flows) then go to slim shady lp ( which you’d love for the story telling and out of pocket shit he was saying) and go from there.

Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted, because he fired in self defense. He ran away every chance he got, and only fired when it was the last option. As far as him being a “white supremacist”, he’d be the worst white supremacist of all time, being that he shot 3 white dudes. The first (a pedophile) he ran from, and only fired once cornered and the guy grabbed the barrel of his rifle to try and take it. After running away some more, he fell in the street and was hit with a skateboard by the second guy (a multiple time woman abuser), and then immediately afterward the third guy (a convicted felon in possession of a gun, which he was LITERALLY pointing at Kyle) was shot. All of the information, AND video evidence is freely available online. There’s no excuse to still be ignorant to the facts. You’d be surprised how many people still think he shot 3 black people. That’s not what happened here is it?

I used to hate on Kobe because of the comparison to MJ but I had to start giving it up to him by the end of his career. Kobe was amazing and the next best thing… the world wanted to be like Mike and only one mf did it 💯 he’s the second best ever. LeBron never moved ahead of Kobe

Appreciate you. You said my name right. Showrocka is the first verse, skeese second me last. And I dont know why you think it ended abruptly. We all had 16 bars. Probably because I had two cadences. Wasn't expecting a review though, because you didn't answer back, but definitely appreciated. Plan to get more reactions on the channel so you hear more bars. dudes cripping with briccs they like hey cuz I need two keys tookie Williams. Also that bathing ape scheme was layered, showrocka is actually is a professor at pendulum ink with mickey factz. He did a break down of the first few bars. My verse is definitely layered if you break it down. Definitely relisten on your own time if you can. Main thing is you didnt say I was wack that's all that matters. Gotta make a good impression.
