@ma12sh2 ай бұрын
@@allandriver2066 you serious? what does population size have to do with it.? We Produce and export plenty yet we cant ship it to our own shops. WE have more cows than people in this country! An amazing pork and poultry industry, and seafood galore. They get it shipped stored delivered in another country think of the logistics and costs involved, yet we pay the same prices someone importing our food does? i literally have an abattoir 20 kms away, and we are surrounded by water and seafood I'm 20 mins from the trawlers. Yet i pay the same as someone in Sydney or overseas? When we couldn't ship lobsters to China it was awesome!! now they are shipping them there again and we get the garbage and prices went up..! We import 70% or more of the seafood we eat and send it all away! I've travelled the world and seen it for myself. ITs like me going to Visit my family in Germany and paying 15dollars a beer like we do ! its stupid and greedy plain and simple, the right thing to do is sell more for less and cheaper for your own citizens. Might be fine for Tourists but we live here and get charged like we all rolling in money. Costs too much to have fun anymore, From alcohol, smokes, transport and food costs. Its getting out of hand. $170 is a lot of money for a meat platter

Huh? A McDonalds meal for $30? You buying half the menu? Yes it's gotten expensive and I'm not Australian so obviously I'm not certain.
