This is a good insight of different perspectives of both countries. I’m a British Nigerian living in the U.K. I plan to also move to Canada soon but some of my colleagues at work suggested I try Australia as there’s good pay for nurses there (I’m a nurse). However Australia seems to far from the world as I love to travel. On the other hand, Canada has extreme cold weathers for 6 months and I hate cold so much. I’m just left in a Limbo. I have a feeling that if I move to Canada and I can’t adapt to the weather then I might just move to Australia after in the later years. But right now it’s so hard to decide.

Great video. 4 years now in Toronto, did 2 in Australia. Personal preference is Canada like your sister. Key things for me being 1: weather 🤣. AUS summers are brutal. I’ll take -30 over plus 35 deg celsius any day. 2: Proximity to rest of the world like other countries in North America and Europe. 3: Diversity a bit more evident here as compared to when i last was in AUS. Culturally both countries are pretty similar and great choices for anyone looking to immigrate to. Comes down to personal preference in the end.

Sorry brother... you aren't educating yourself properly when it comes to mine work... the average Mining Driller job in USA is $70k AUD.. in Australia its $80k to $100k AUD. Working overseas with a company always pays more depending on your country and skill of origin✨ I'm trying to understand your view but its so warped and you are hellbent on denying ways Australia is better and constantly twisting facts to suit the Canada narrative 🤣

Do you have a back up plan if Canada plans fall through and don't work out? E.g. Moving to another country or staying in Australia but moving to another city? By the way wishing you luck and hope it works out. Personally went on holiday to Canada a few years back (Pre-Covid) and I loved the place. Toronto and Vancouver give to subtle vibe of Melbourne. I'm hoping to make another trip to Canada in the near future again.

Seriously looking at the US, lots of opportunities there career wise. Will be moving to either Bali or Phuket in the next couple of months while I figure it all out, I guess I’ve got Australia as my backup.

@@theeglobalcitizen you will be shocked to find that it is harder to make and pay for a living in the USA when compared to both Canada and Australia... don't fall victim to the imaginary American dream 🙏 not only is it more expensive... you also pay far more in medical bills, good luck to you though. Ashame you can't just appreciate Australia 🦘 You were given the opportunity to stay and are taking it for granted🇦🇺

Very informative I would take this opportunity as well I did my high school in United States New York to be specific and it was cold 🥶 but it’s manageable also maybe cause I can’t deal with so much heat. The diversity is good compared in Uk and there is a lot of career progression. Aaaw best wishes to her ❤️

Did you change your mind about moving to Canada? If you did it is okay. Your sister is right about Toronto which is very expensive city. Calvary, Albert or Saskatoon, it is easyer to buy a house.

You are smart to take your time about moving. With the Interest rates so very high. You will find the rents very expensive in large cities like Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Los Angeles, etc. Of course you can check with realtors before you make your decision. They seem to be all over KZbin.

@@path1400 tbh we are seeing a very similar trend here in Australia and the cost of housing is astronomical at the moment. I think it’s a worldwide thing. Though I believe the US and Canada at least give you options. You don’t have to live in LA, NY or Toronto, there are cheaper options like Texas etc In Australia the cost of living has pretty much become consistent throughout the entire country at this stage

@@theeglobalcitizen I understand your reasoning. I am sure you will make the right decisions for you. Australia has limited areas people can live if they don't want to live in the outback. But I think things will be getting better soon because the house are not selling or renting at these high prices in Canada or here in California. Thank God I purchased my home years ago at a fitted rate.

You can say Canada is better all you like... The reality is Both countries are pretty much the same besides the Nature... if you want a better Work environment move to Queensland or Tasmania, its not hard to get work in Australia, it all depends on the job you want and what you bring to the table👍 Australia's mining and agricultural industry are some of the biggest in the world. the life expectancy is also higher in Australia✨

@debuthunter5389 She's making out Canada to be a lot better or rosier than it is. I guess she has to to justify her move from Australia. If I had to write a full answer it would be long and not worth my time but for example, she said Toronto is better for finance or her field which it is. However, there's no shot they'll be recruiting foreign degree holders and those attending sketchy College programs. The market is tough and flooded with landed PRs, Temp foreign workers and hundreds of thousands of international students. Desirable Jobs are reserved for those that go to the best Canadian unis

Australia has better pay and more annual leaves and sick leaves. I don't like the tipping culture in Canada and USA.
