Aloha. Thank you for the realistic expectations. We want to take a long weekend trip from Hilo. As far as car rentals, I hope they have the Turo car rental app as it has been a life saver because the small town airports of Hawaii simply don’t have a lot of car rentals

Thanks for sharing this video. I plan on taking my 9month old on my chest carrier and 6, year old with my husband this summer. Is the only to walk in the snow is by going the whole walkway you did? Looks a bit scary for me. Also can we just take the titlis rotting cable cars to the top and is there things there to do or is everything after the long bridge side walk. Thank you.

I was there last fall and took the cogwheel train up, and the gondola down. This brings back all the wonderful memories to see the familiar sights. It was a dream come true. Next time I will do the Alpine slide! The cowbells were beautiful background music as we rode the swinging gondola down. I was slightly terrified but the views are absolutely stunning. ❤️

I can't remember! I had a wrist strap. I don't think it was required. Looking back, having the stick would have been easy and worth it!

If you have a rail pass, we had the Swiss Travel Pass and Family Card for the kids, you may get a discount. You’ll need to decide if you are doing a circle tour, like the “Golden Round Trip” or “Silver Round Trip,” or if you are just going up-then-down the same route. We did the trip ourselves and went up/down from Kriens.
