@@NoahLarsen2025 what’s up bro🤙🏽 yes it’s a 1998-2000 ford ranger this one is a 1998, it has a 2004+ hood and in this video it had an 04 grille but now I have a 2007 grille on it , instead of changing the entire core support to do the swap correctly, all you need is an 04+ hood and any grille from 04-11. When getting the hood make sure you use the hood hinges from 04-11 hood and not the ones from the 98-2000 hood they won’t work cause the newer style hood ones are flipped, any 04-11 grille fits perfectly in the middle between the stock 98-2000 headlights all you need is to drill into the stock core support and have zip ties hold it up cause it won’t align with the stock holes on the core support since it’s different it’s really easy

I had Duraflex 5” fenders in the front at the time of this video but now I switched over to McQueen Fiberglass 7” front fenders

check out “McQueen Prototype Fiberglass” on Instagram in my opinion they make the best looking fiberglass , they have 7” kit that’s the front and besides and a bad ass looking hood to for the rangers

and in the video I have 8” McNeil Fiberglass Bedsides

It’s on 35’s,the front has a Camburg Mid Travel Upper Control Arm Kit and Spindle

I’m running a Pro Chamber H pipe with 2.5” piping all the way to the back

it was already on there when I bought the truck but I’m sure it was a custom one

I got the muffler off someone local not sure if it was Offer Up or Facebook Marketplace one of those two than I just took it to a local muffler shop to install it , you can find the muffler pretty easy on offer up or fb

It sounded good here in this video with the cats still on , now that I removed them it’s too loud and raspy I think I put up a new video it’s a reel not sure if I’m liking it or not too much drone

@@Devon_241 surprisingly it runs better , being that my catalytic converters were really bad and super rusted out. Engine most likely breathes better and didn’t really notice anything with MPG, the truck is super loud though

@@Skillerj7 it’s all good and I’m pretty sure you will get a check engine light for the cat delete cause there won’t be no cats plugged into the 02 Censors that read them. I used to have a check engine light but it went away I think my light just stopped working

@@Skillerj7 I did a full cat delete mine had a total of 4 but they were super old and rusty I don’t even think they worked anymore I honestly would recommend to remove them instead of just fixing them , it opens up the exhaust sound big time and let’s it breathe better I also didn’t even notice a drop in MPG

I think the front are 6” or 8” and the rear bedside ones are 6” but I went larger and they look sick af, the bedsides are now 10” McNeil Flattop bedsides I’ll send u a link to them

😂, I tried my best to make this ranger sound good I’m used to a V8 sound from my other foxbody so when I got this ranger I hated the exhaust but now I did a full cat delete and it sounds too loud and raspy I just gave up on it I don’t think any muffler or custom exhaust will make it sound like a v8 lol only a V8 swap 🤷🏽‍♂️

@@chrishansen7004 if your looking for power mainly I’d for sure go with a 4.8 or 5.3 Chevy motor but if u just want the v8 sound and a little more power than a 3.0 or 4.0 v6 that cone with the rangers , I’ve heard a 5.0 from an explorer is a good choice which is probably the route I will be going , it’s a much easier swap since a lot of the explorer stuff like the wiring is plug n play

yup 5.0 is definitely the easiest route, though I want an ecoboost. I have a 2nd gen Explorer 2 door with the 4.0 ohv @@pay2playent62

it’s still on factory 3.73 gears I haven’t re geared it the only thing I’ve done is changed the diff fluid , only reason I haven’t re geared it’s cause it doesn’t struggle to move the tires , anything 35’s will for sure need gears

anything bigger than 35’s will need re gear 37’s+

I actually had 3.55 they sucked with the 35’s bad. I have 4.10’s now it’s a lot better
