What if it is still of balance after changing out the rods
@appliancerepairamerican2 сағат бұрын
Before and after changing the rods you should make sure the machine is level. Check to make sure the holes inner tub is not loose / wiggling within the inner drum. After installing new rods calibrate the machine and of course it is best to use rods made by Samsung

How did you manage to get the housing off the old pump?

Thanks for this video. Easy out and easy in. This video gave me confidence to do this on my own. Start to finish, it took me 2.5 hours and cost about $30. Much of that time was photographing what I was doing so that I didn't screw things up.

Beautiful pump replacement for LG, only 7 minutes! 😊 5-stars!
@driversteve93455 күн бұрын
For me this is like a yearly event having to replace that damn drain pump! LG should just make it a Quick Connect disconnect instead of having to screw and unscrew three screws that hold the pump down while also giving a bigger door on the bottom left so that we don't have to disassemble everything just to get to the pump! Either that or LG needs to push out a new highly reliable drain pump that doesn't give out in a year!

Well that was pretty easy! It took me about 30 minutes but hey, first time ! It’s draining like it was new. I found it easier to move the pump out by loosening the retaining clamp on the rubber boot of the drum. Be sure to replace it!

What a time to be alive, vids like these are what KZbin is truly about. Saved me SO MUCH time and effort, thank you 🙏🏾 I got into a “fun project” from the wife and I’ve replaced damn near everything on this LG washer. I said next time I need to disassemble it, to the scrap heap, but 7mins? Yeah okay I’ll invest that much.. gets to live another day because of you. BUT NEXT TIME 💥😅

Just as a reminder. You have one small screw in the front of the pump. It might not come off easily. It might be for different models.

Great video! Although hearing you call your slip joint pliers a pair of dikes kind of weirded me out. I was also weirded out watching you use them incorrectly to attach the hoses in the end of the video. Other than that, it was a fantastic video, and even those issues I mentioned are not a big deal and do not take away from the video

I just did this repair. When I took the old drain pump off I didn’t realize I had to remember how it went in. Took me a couple tries but got it to fit back in the machine. When I tested my fix, I had a bad leak right away. When looking I can’t tell what leaked. The clamps and hoses weren’t wet. Is it possible I didn’t get the pump screwed back on the right way??

I had to fix this issue also 😶 on Kenmore/LG washer. Some repair person told me the whole stator was bad and wanted to charge me a fortune for it. I knew that was not the problem, but he was all attitudes. So I sent him home and left him a bad review on Yelp.

I just read the comment about safety and not being under the machine and potentially getting crushed. Since the weight is highly biased towards the rear and you would be working from the front, the center of gravity is rear aligned. Basically, even if the very worst happened and the front of the machine fell fully upon you, you're not getting crushed, there is just not enough weight on you. Remember that even with the machine resting directly on your skull it is still tilted towards the rear with the weight away from you. This way is the absolute best I've seen and I'm doing the job as soon as the part arrives. This is so much easier and faster than taking the whole front of the machine apart. Huge thanks for taking the time to put this to video and share it. YOU ROCK!

Hi, The video looks very useful. I was attempting to fix my LG washing machine with this LE error code with this video. Opened the back access panel. But the 17mm rotor nut seems extremely tight. Unable to loosen it, even with good 17mm wrench. Any way to loosen the rotor center nut? Thanks in advance...

Highly recommend this video. It is by far the most helpful and easiest way to fix this suspension/balance issue on your washer. I was able to follow video and fixed my washer by taking off a total of 7 screws. One thing to note, be extra careful with the lid door as the plastic hinges are incredibly brittle and will break off from top plastic frame it is attached to. Mine did but i was still able to use once the rear console display was put back on with the screws. I now added a WARNING note on the glass lid for my wife and kids to be extra careful opening lid. I really hate Samsung appliances! They look nice but Samsung uses cheap materials and their products don't last even a reasonable amount of time. I say this because I have had brittle plastic issues with two other Samsung fridges. This washer is only 2.5 years old and it required repair work already with just normal home use. Ridiculous!!!

My pump keeps running and water keeps running. Thinking it’s probably something electronic in the control panel. I’m getting both IE and OU errors. I leveled the machine first and ran 2 loads without issue. The third load was a disaster. I apparently dislodged the drain hose and it worked it’s way out during third load and the error codes were back. Came into 2 inches of standing water and water still pouring out. Got the drain back in the hole. Turned water off. Sucked up 10 buckets of water, mopped, soaked up rest with towels. Not a good DIY day 😢

Thank you for the video! Simple and straight forward with no fillers! Save me hundreds from calling someone. For others who might run into this, the magnetized rotor was really strong. I had to use a lot of strength and some twisting and turning motion to finally pull it away from he stator. Everything else was smooth sailing just like the video.

@@appliancerepairamerican I have a quick question if I may. I just installed two new water drain pumps on my LG front load washer (about 12 years old). Last night we ran a light load of laundry and the washer is still making noises during the drain cycle (whenever the drain pumps are engaged). I did not receive any error codes and the laundry cycle completed normally, other than the grinding noises during the water drain portion of the cycle. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Edit: I just downloaded the repair manual and it looks like I replaced both the drain pump and the circulation pump. The OE code is gone but still making an unusual noise in both the drain test and the circulation test. Also, both values are showing 65 and then 103, but no indication in the manual what that means.

Just a follow up on this in case someone else has the same problem, I ordered the suspension routes from the link provided from Amazon, and the problem ended up being that the suspension rods were too short from whatever it links to so make sure you get the right size
