Add a bottle of Ceratec Liquid Molly with each oil change and the tick will go away. My 2011 (first year of the new 5.0) and my 2019 Bullitt are just noisy. Put about 95K miles (not kilometers) on the 2011. Sitting at 34K miles on my Bullitt. I'm not sweating this at all.

and just think the exhaust valves are not open fully, it can be louder. Plus the center valve is usually open to keep it even quieter.

I know that these cars aren’t cheap but like any other guy who has a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge, you know what certain services should cost. My background involves turbine engine maintenance. When I was quoted a price for my first oil change on my 2024 GLE 63s, I was quite surprised and wished that I had bought the service plan. $515.00 US. By the time I got my bill it was $587.00. I asked what was the extra charge for and the guy said I actually took off $75.00, the 63s usually cost more because of the filters. That still didn’t answer my question from what I was first quoted so it leads me to believe they just charge what they want . I know will say that if you can afford to buy a new Mercedes than you shouldn’t care how much the service cost. I believe that wealth isn’t built by aimlessly throwing money away. I’d like to know what I’m paying for and why it cost a premium over any other premium brands.

On my 2017 V8, the problem turned out to be in the dealer OIL CHANGE. Ford dealers are not ptting enough oil in their engines. Not enough oil causes other issues. My valve pins bent at one point and i had to rebuild the head. The problem STOPPED once i changed my oil in a drive thru place that uses an automated oil filling machne. I don't have that problem anymore since i ditched the dealer and their manufacturer poor quality control and assessment. Ford dealer re-built my 2017 v8 engine to get rid of the ticking the first time. And it worked till the next oil change. That was before the manufacturer said it's normal to get the ticking after the first oil change, and they won't fix anything. The service guy told me it's like a cataletic converter cooling down. a seriously unreleated made up answer! just reminded me of the mechanics that tell women they need to change their blinker fluids! That day was the last time i step into a Ford service center. Which is after owning 4 different Mustangs, and i will not buy another because i don't trust the maintenance nor the warranty anymore.

Whenever we'd have a guest, different MOS folks (like the medics) or a gaggle of sirs at wet shoots we always asked if they wanted to pull the lanyard &/or stand to the rear of the tube to watch this. Their eyes would always light up with a big grin afterwards. I miss the job but not the army barmy spit n polish BS.
