Hi Unders dude! Just to say that I picked up MBassador which in the Melda Sub plugin, my experience is that Melda stuff always does more than you bargained for so I went for that, see how that goes, apart from that mission report, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year! 🥳❤

Great video! However, I feel like there's a bit too much LowCut & HighPass EQ-ing on each element. (I like keeping things a bit more natural).
@Unders6 күн бұрын
its a plugin demo not a mixing tutorial.
@Crossfire20036 күн бұрын
Yes. That's true. However, I've said it because I'm seeing this trend online, to use heavy low-cut on every element! I, especially, dislike heavy low-cuts on main vocals. Some KZbinrs claim that "we don't need those lower frequencies" on a vocal. But, human voices do contain some of those lower frequencies too! I feel like taming such lows with a dynamic EQ leads to a more natural sound, compared to a heavy low-cut.

Appreciate this video. I have actually uploaded multiple tracks on Distrolock which are all original. One of them i have sent to only a few artists for a competition in lower quality MP3 format. The version i uploaded is full quality wav and now its saying that it was rejected due to it matching in a database. I have all the proof needed to show that its an original track (all stems and project files and more). What do you think i can/should do in this situation?

I bought the upgrade from Q3 to Q4. I'm must say i am a bit disapointed in the dynamic spectral feature. I compared it with Soothe 2, and i found S2 to be more accurate and transparent... almost releaved since S2 is pretty darn expensive. Also i find ProQ4 a little bit more cluncky, less responsive than Q3. But maybe it is just an impression... 😁

Great video, very clear and helpful. In the past, when I’ve uploaded my own created sample packs, I’ve had issues with people stealing the demo tracks from the pack, which then led to me receiving copyright claims. Recently, I’ve been working on a series of videos showing how to create a liquid DnB track from start to finish. As the track is becoming more complete, I’ve been searching for a way to protect it and maintain monetization in case someone tries to steal the music. Distrolock seems like the perfect solution. I’ve uploaded the full track I created to their platform, and it now states that the track is locked, However I’m wondering should I have received a notification for my video already, or does it usually take some time for detection to occur? i have had no copyright claims on my videos so far. Many thanks mate 👍

Stealing the demo of a sample pack… some people 🤦
@Unders12 күн бұрын
It is not content ID and doesn’t flag as such. If you uploaded the video first it will never flag. It’s Changed since this video an now specifically says “Stop strangers from stealing your music and uploading it to streaming services without your permission” so not covering the KZbin content ID system but would cover KZbin music. In theory.
@HighpassResources12 күн бұрын
@@Unders Lol, I know, I'm not too bothered since I create these packs to help people out. But the fact that they made no modifications to the demo track, released it as their own, and I end up getting the copyright claim on my video is just ridiculous. Thanks for your response mate, have a great Christmas 👍

@HighpassResources shout me in 2025 sort out a collaboration video with your samples if you want.
@charlieodegaard708112 күн бұрын
There has been so many different methods for this. It used to be that you route your output with an input and put and IO ping, and then set that number in the recording delay. Or output a recording like a drum part, route that out and then look at how many samples it was lagging and set that in the recording delay. Nowdays, I see videos where you just hover over the IO plug, and then set that measure. Now, this one is completely new - extremely simple - is it even legit? Now it begs the questions, which one should one use if you want to have perfect recording tracking, i.e as close to tape tracking as possible. Off course freeze all plugins, go down to the essentials you need for recording that track. Set the delay compensation on.

@Music-tg5is13 күн бұрын
14:22 - You may have realised by now, but to switch between dynamic and spectral, you don't need to right-click and select in the menus. But simply to click on the toggle icon which appears directly above the Gain knob oas soon as you begin dialing in a dynamic range. Which makes for a much faster workflow. (initially, I too kept menu diving, until I realised the 'toggle' only appears once you dial in your dynamic range. But that's not required). :)

been waiting for this video!! great timing: Saturday morning, fresh coffee .... I'm settling in to watch all of this. *edit* ok great video mate, thanks for taking the time. couple of observations: the Instance List has the tracks in a different order than how they sit in Logic, which is a little frustrating. the first comparison between Q3 & Q4 was really interesting. to me 4 sounds cleaner, it was definitely my preference. it was in the tails of the high end around the hi hat... the release seemed faster? hard to articulate. when you compared Left to Right summing to mono: zero difference.
@Unders13 күн бұрын
The order thing is odd. Because even if you add them in sequence the order doesn’t remain. I really couldn’t tell which was “better” in an A/B just different. But if you could then it was worth it test wise. Possible that 4+ hours of critical listening I should have taken a break an it would be clearer 🤷♂️ Hope you enjoyed your Saturday, seems like you’re getting up just as I crashed out.
@coldacre12 күн бұрын
@@Unders it seems that the order list only affects AU plugs. I put 4 tracks into Reaper, renamed them 1 -4 and the Instance list was in the correct order, so VST3 plugs do it correctly.
