ads will drive people away from the daw companies, because it'll happen with all eventually, but they'll force some pay to remove ads option, & maybe a small few may opt to pay, if the price isnt too high.

We’re seeing it. FL Studio has a built in sample and preset store now. Kontakt 8 opens by showing you libraries you don’t yet own. It’s TOO MUCH.
@CapaUno13222 күн бұрын
The most old skool way to get this to fit would be by using a pair of blunt scissors and some stick backed plastic...and maybe a bit of help from your mum! 💯👍

Wow, how cool! Thanks buddy! Eh did you check out Generate yet? It's still $49, you could use it in your DnB course! 😅 If you do it in logic then could you mention anything you feel might need some translation in VST's/functionality in FL Studio? 😁 EDIT: This is a really cool tutorial, thanks man, top job!

@ I’m sure it can incredible sounds. But it’s not intuitive to me, which I think is its point. Seems ridiculous, I could maybe see it (but still very much disagree with it) for GarageBand. But getting ads in your paid for product should always be a hard no. This sort of stuff makes me want to have a standalone music making computer that's completely offline. I hate to think what sort of stuff we're going to get in the coming years with both Apple and Microsoft pushing their various AI crap in their operating systems.

funny enough quite a few people on reddit dont see the issue. Where as i can see a future where theres a unskippable iphone ad before you can launch your DAW. Because if apple gets away with it, everyone else will try it on.

The IN-5s sound a lot tighter in the low end and also brighter and more detailed in the top end. The LP-6s extend a bit further down, but were very muddy in the midrange and duller on top. I didn't think there would be this much of an obvious difference in such a primitive test. I own a pair of LP-6s and I'm looking for an upgrade. Just at 650€ for a pair of IN-5s, you almost get used Neumann KH120As (700-800€)... That makes the Kalis really hard to justify. Anyways, excellent video!
@Unders4 күн бұрын
not sure i fully understand the end there, the KH120a are over £1k for a pair. Personally id go for the genelec One if thats an option. They were fantastic. I however have kept the IN5 up to date.
@josuastangl71404 күн бұрын
@@Unders The new and improved KH120 IIs are 1.400€ for the pair, but pairs of the original KH120As are widely available on the used market for 750-800€. The Genelecs you mentioned (8361A) are almost 10.000€ a pair. Obviously legendary speakers, but in a very different price category. I think the 8030s would be a more fitting comparison to the older 120s or the IN-5s. I'd love to hear some experience reports comparing either of those to the IN-5s, but I haven't found much so far.
@Unders4 күн бұрын
@@josuastangl7140 you can get the 8831a around £3k my argument really is that its all diminished returns beyond the price point of the IN5 unless you're in a spot on room. Even then the extra money spend (in my opinion) is better going on acoustics or room correction hardware. FYI Genelec wouldn't support any kind of comparison content video, even with loaned monitors and no costs. So id have to lay the money out to make the videos. Which just isnt viable as things are.

Same thing happened to me. I called them out because of their business model, charging us for minor features when they claimed it as a major upgrade, especially for existing users. They didn't like what I had to say with all due respect and they banned me as well. I did several videos about it and even showed the transcripts of my chat with them, exposing their rude behavior towards their customers.

It definitely adds something, although whether or not you actually like it is just a matter of personal taste. I downloaded the demo and tried it out but on my more retro choppage style it seemed to lose authenticity so I won't be buying it. I can see it being used to good effect in lots of genres though, and I think the more aggressive they are the better it will suit. I did actually used to do exactly this - by hand - on techno back in the 90s. It was common on the first kick of a drop. Productions were so much simpler back then though. Audiences these days are far better educated in what makes a good track. Good video though, I'll sub based on that. And top marks to Cableguys for coming up with a genuinely original plugin.
