It's amazing, I don't have the money for the FAB stuff atm. I have MAutoDynamicEQ which is actually amazing (and cheap when it' s on sale) but a bit more hands on, but I need to learn so it's good for me to get under the hood.....a great suggestion for peeps on a tight budget.....💯👍

@CapaUno1322 a better version in my option is Tokyo Dawn NOVA 👍 And the FF stuff is expensive 100% agree. If you’re a hobbyist it’s also total overkill and thing like the Mtools and NOVA which is free are still way beyond what was available not that far back.

The free band there at the end i'm guessing is a side chain to allow the eq to be triggered from another frequency band, it's in the Pro-MB too.

At 6:25 that's the all pass filter, lets everything through but rotates the phase at the chosen frequency.

The free slope option is actually very useful for low and high cuts where in the past for example 12 db could be too much and 6 db too little which had to be compensated with an additional shelf. I am also pretty sure the filter types are borrowed from volcano which sound really good.

I use as little as possible from them now, since their fiasco trying to make everyone go to subscription. But tools no one else has a decent alternative for ADT, Submarine, RBass.

Except not as smart EQ can’t do a bunch of what pro Q does an for some unfathomable reason they made it limited to 10 tracks. So it’s only really viable on your buses.

For me it’s sometimes nicer then a DeEsser and can be nice to remove the harshness on thing like cymbals without losing their.. texture is the best word I can think of right now. Hopefully we can have a play tomorrow.

Use it after you have added air or dolby tape trick . Anything that's gonna add a level of harshness

you could stack sine waves as a chord with notes you need and then sidechain it to pro q4 with this new spectral dynamic feature. this way it would correct the notes. you would need to invert it so it doesn’t cut the frequency’s but add them. or you want to cut out notes you don’t want, then it would be fine.
