Haven’t touched the 260z in a while, hopefully soon. Been messing with the ZX and will have a video soon on that. Life and all that kind of got in the way.

Great video, I only wanted to check on the procedure for setting the float valve, which I scrolled through to, and watched that. It was infinitely better than the other short videos in here that failed to give the necessary detail that you provided. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wouldnt a piano hinge work better just asking not judging
@CarsBikesandCoffee21 күн бұрын
I suppose you could, my only concern if the gauge of metal would possibly bend the hinge if it was too thick. The other thing is piano hinge are typically long, so you still would want the sheet to feed through between. Thanks for watching!

@@CarsBikesandCoffee they have some pretty heavy duty ones at Home Depot and lowes in stock usually and just saying to maybe save you a lil work or maybe another build idea for another project definitely not knocking what you did just want to say that just in case lol

Forgot to mention, i have a holey pump and its installed in the engine bay , it only has 2 wires, red and negative already grounded, so I connected the 30 to the positive so my question was which goes inside along with the “i” wire
@Pred-atoyz_2023Ай бұрын
I got confused, the “i” wire is going into the cabin, got that, if the 30 wire is going to the fuel positive on the fuel pump, then what wire goes along with the “i” wire into the cabin???? Should i take the positive from the fuel pump and the 30 wire in the cabin and splice together so they plug into the ignition? Please help thank you

Shock and amazement at the use of a FRAM oil filter... LOL! You went to the trouble and expense to rebuild the engine the right way, then used one of the cheapest oil filters around? At least go with a Wix...

@@CarsBikesandCoffee Honestly that first oil filter, as you know, is only on for a short while, to clean up any gunk/shavings/filings/etc... that remained in the engine. Great work on that car. Your videos capture the essence of what your doing without the hours you spent doing it... Excellent work on this video... Still shivering over the Fram filter though...

@rdh2059 thank you!! Rest assured that filter came off right after the video 😏

1:36 if you sandblast the parts they will never have the original gloss finish, will be dull and abraded looking unless to buff it.
@CarsBikesandCoffee3 ай бұрын
Very good point, thought I made a comment about that. But yes, if you want a matte plate sandblast, if you want that gloss, I brass wire wheel it.

A co-worker just bought this unit and we are going to be comparing it to the less expensive NUCAR scanner. So far, the NUCAR has been pretty handy. It's bi-directional and will also update itself for whatever vehicle you are working on. The larger screen on the 600s is very nice.

Funny this video is for the z32. Im about to do this. Z's been sittong for 7 years straight. Fuel pump hanger was so rusty that the ppwer and ground wires rusted off the inside of the pump assembly and were just dangling in the air inside thw tank. The level assembley was rusted it wouldnt even move. Completle setup was bricked. Had to replace eevrything. Gonna try cleaning injectors since insides are stainless. But if dosent work will replace. Love these cars but damn they got neglected by there owners. Wtf.

The bolts that hold the sway bar to the body of the car are the ones that get torqued to spec with load on the vehicle, not the endlinks. Per the factory service manual.

@20:46, you state the plastics should be 35mm from bottom to top. The plastic floats are 27mm tall so that only leaves 8mm from top of float to top of lid. Does that sound correct? I see 18mm clearance from top of float to lid so that would be a 44mm total bottom to top referenced in other places. Confused.....

How do you know if you should clean/rebuild or replace?
@CarsBikesandCoffee7 ай бұрын
A few ways to see this The way I look at is if it’s running rough no matter your adjustments, a clean and rebuild is essentially “cheap”. If you don’t feel comfortable rebuilding, replace. If you feel comfortable, but for example butterfly bushings leak air or are worn and can’t replace the bushings, replace. High level approach of course.

Why must your generation constantly flap your wings about as if you are a spasmodic albatross attempting lift-off? I am sure you’ve never taken a public speaking course? If you had, you’d certainly have learned that it’s very easy to annoy/turn-off your audience, so that, no matter how good your content, the distractions make them tune out. So is the case with you.
