I wonder what the devs intended these superbosses if it not were Don Tomberry farming and sphere farming. No "casual" playing style would defeat any of these things. Most would max the SG, but casually erasing and placing +4 attribute nodes is crazy

FFX was the first FF I truly enjoyed, most likely because of the strategy guide, overall ease of finding everything, and the internet. I played FFVII and FFIX, but never completed those games as well as I did FFX. You felt so powerful in FFX with the celestial weapons that made your characters very strong.

One of the reasons I never had any interest in completing FFX's optional fights and super bosses was that the games becomes shockingly fucking boring at max level. Spamming Quick hit for 10 minutes is not my idea of fun FFX's balance can be considered done and over once you get equipment with auto phoenix. After that the game radically changes and is a grinding slog with no real challenge

I tell you the answer: it's a joke. I always do 255 on everything, then MP 999 then the remaining to the HP, which is about 70K. There is no way any enemy in this game can kill your party one hit but Penance, and for that to happen is kinda difficult because you have to play really bad. This is my favourite game, but I wouldn't mind for it to be a little more difficult overall, and since it's not using ATB system and let's you have time choosing your commands, I would put some extra AI on these superbosses to be more smart and hit harder, so you can't never guess what they are going to do. The fun of a superboss is to not knowing if you're going to defeat it, no matter how buffed you are :)

i think the real takeaway here is that if you have max stats, it's more a button mashing contest than actual strategy. i didn't realize it only had 3 moves, and 2 of them don't really do anything. ultima is basically negligible too just because auto life exists and it only exists to waste 2 or 3 turns healing after

I never understood this, I’ve been playing my game for what seems like forever & I still dont have maxed out grid, then you have to get all the spheres, & then what, delete most of the old ones to add new luck hp & strength I guess just to get high enough lvls? That seems like its not even worth the trouble for the amt of time that would take

Why did they waste their time with the final summoning pilgrimage? This 1 guy made multiple monsters more powerful than Sin and somehow is able to control them.

Maxing out the sphere grid isn't too bad until you get to HP and Luck. The Giant, Earth Eater and bubble dude gets tedious after awhile.

yup, i remember doing this on the original ps2 game way back then. maxed everyone out, and just spammed auto-life and quick hit. killed him in probably about 10 minutes. Interesting note, tho, he's affected by Doom status. :D Hilariously, tho, the counter starts at 255 instead of something lower like on most enemies that can be affected by the spell. I killed him before it got halfway there XD

I don't understand why people use auto regen it seems so overrated 100-1200 hp heals is so little I'd rather use rikku overdrive to heal 99999 in 1 turn

i played ffx tons of times but never got to beat omega ruins because i was so under level, this time i'm determined to be somewhat be overpower and beat all the bosses

First playthrough of FFX I went rather quick and did just enough to progress the story. Shortly after getting access to the ship's ability to fly everywhere I went to Omega dungeon. And I could NOT touch Omega. I felt weak and pitiful. I had already had serious issues beating Seymour on Mt. Gagazet. So. After feeling down for a week, I deleted my file and restarted the game. And I did not move quickly. Every area I grinded for a time. I moved some of the characters into adjacent sphere-grid areas earlier. The moment it could be done, I went out of my way to get monsters captured, celestial weapon components, and extra spheres for later. I had no problem with any of the story this time, and went straight to Omega. I got everything ready. Everyone had their overdrives active, and the same for all of my Aeons. I used Rikku's mix to give party buffs then switched her out for Auron. Then Yuna did an Overdrive summon on the sisters. Delta Attack NOW!! So this was the first time I had seen max damage in FFX..... And just for your information, that is actually the exact amount that Omega has in maximum health....99,999 I uh... I thought I was going to have to summon and do this with just about everyone. I was ready for an epic battle, against a foe that had bested me so many times before..... One shot. With 3 characters getting experience at all.... So, with great sadness, I reloaded from the start of Omega dungeon and went back to the boss, and proceeded to have everyone in the party do... something. Because I had to hold back now to not kill him before everyone could get exp. It was at this moment I realized that I may have gone a little overboard. Welp! Nothing to do but everything else now. All celestial weapons, everything captured. Nemesis here wasn't all that hard really, but it was for sure a longer fight. I did not have max stats at this point, but Lulu, Yuna, and Rikku had all cleared each other's zones by this point and Yuna was eating through Tidus'. Damn what a good game!

Why did it still take you this long ? The lack of auto healing and summons make this a pointless video not even auto revive
