I'm back for a rewatch. Holy moly it's Feb. and nothing is written in my N1 planner. It's decorated with all Catherine's lovely stickers but it seems I just can't get over the hump of writing in it and 'messing' it up. 🙄 (which I have done & had to use with out) I have good handwriting but the pen I have used every single day for the last 15 plus years really shows through the paper. I am also struggling with the tiny columns vertically like you use. I thought I rewatch your video to help me nail down how I am going to make it work. Somehow this hasn't gone as smoothly as it really should. Overthinking it way too much. (just paused the video & something that really resonated with me was you saying that you just aren't a writer. Making yourself try and fill the space was too much. BINGO!! That's me. I love to make lists, jot down things.....love words. Not a writer tho. I guess I really love memory keeping in small sentences if that makes sense. I've loved taking photos to document our life for years so maybe I think of my N1 in those terms too!)

Hi! I am glad you are back and coming back to this video to get more clarity :) I totally understand what you are going through. Im sure I went through it many times over before I got to where I am at. So don't let it stress you out ;) May I make a suggestion: Since documenting every day is a kind of a lot. Maybe consider choosing specific days like every Friday or every monday and every friday. And then you can combine the columns so its bigger for you and you can add photos to that. Don't feel like you have to follow the lines and columns. Make your own if you have to cross the lines by combing 2 columns to represent a day :) Maybe that will give you more space to add your photos and you jot down words and bullet points. If you have a little photo printer that prints small photos (The one i currently own is a HP sproket, but there are alot on the market that you use) Then you can print out your favorite pictures of the week, put it on the columns then bullet point highlights :) I hope that helps!!

Beautiful space! Thanks for giving us a tour. I love that you thrift and repurpose items. I do the same. My daughter and I are going thrifting tomorrow so now I'm excited about that. My style is completely different. Opposite even. :) It's about chaos and color. I need to see my washis out or I forget what I have. I'm also a cross stitcher and knitter so there has to be spaces for that too. You've inspired me to reconsider some things, though. Have a wonderful weekend! Are you getting any of the Hobonichi spring items? Or do you only wait until the fall? I bought a Cousin, my first. I'm hoping to use it for daily journaling. I'm curious to compare that to the TN.

Thank you thank you ❤️ I try to thrift and repurpose before I buy from stores. How exciting! My kids love thrifting too! They like to look for nice graphic vintage shirts. I’m always on a look out for brass and picture frames. lol do you have a favorite thing you search for when you thrift? Love that you are drawn to the chaos and color! I want to get h to cross-stitching and embroidery. So many things I want to do lol I don’t know how to knit but I do know how to crochet. Is it the same thing? I didn’t get anything from the spring line. I do want the tragen. But holding out for the perfect color. I want like a plum or burgundy. Or even an olive green. So I hope they come out with more colors. I usually purchase during the Fall since I get January starts. But in the past I have gotten things from the spring line if it calls to me. Going from the TN to the cousin is definitely a different writing experience. I think you will enjoy it. Let me know how it goes! Thanks for being here and watching ❤️

@@marihiraya.archives When thrifting, I usually look for trinkets (glass, wood, baskets, etc.) and frames. I use the trinkets for storing or displaying things and the frames for my cross stitch. I usually frame my cross stitch myself and reserve the most precious pieces for professional framing because of the cost. Although crochet and knitting use yarn, they are different. Crochet uses a hook, whereas knitting uses needles. The stitches look different too. Crochet also takes much more yarn than knitting. I've crocheted blankets, but the terminology is so different to me that my brain doesn't compute. So I've largely stuck to knitting. But, you sew! I've tried, but I'm not so patient. :) Do you sew garments?
@marihiraya.archives
@marihiraya.archives 4 күн бұрын
@@vanessa-creates Oh yes trinkets..same and wood and also baskets! But ughh I am taking a break from baskets. I got one and when I was cleaning it, it smelled like cat pee so it turned me off...lol...I bet your cross stitches are so pretty! Ok that is a simple way to put the difference with the crochet and knitting. I want to learn how to knit though. As far as sewing, I can sew alot of things but clothing. not so much, I am impatient with the measuring lol so I stay away from it..Unless its little doll clothes then yes I can sew clothes lol or maybe dog sweaters lol

@@marihiraya.archives Oh no! Cat pee! 😬 I learned to knit in my 30s. I took a class at a local yarn store then it was all KZbin for different techniques. You can do it! Oh wow!! I jumped right on one of your videos and asked about your girl stickers before I did my due diligence.Here's all my answers in a nice little package, lol. I am so happy to have found your channel! I love any kind of washi stickers for my Hobonichi. It seems like they disappear into the tomoe river paper and become like a painting or drawing. I have not found my favorite pen. I am very shakey so fine points and I clash. I like Faber Castell Pitt pens, medium and bold nib fountain pens, and the fine point on the tombo brush pens for general writing. I love Sakura Microns but feel like they are for drawing rather than writing - yes, I am a weirdo. I do have some PN (plastic nib) Microns that I need to pull out and use more. I just remembered that I loved those.

Hahaha no worries! I will always answer your questions even if its already there. Sometimes I forget to add things in the description boxes. lol I am so glad you found me! And it doesn't add too much bulk to the pages either. You can use Microns, I know a lot of people use it to write. I use it for drawing and sketching but you can use it however you like :) I seems you do have favorite pens to write with lol All that you listed seems like you enjoy using, so I would categorize those as favorites ;) and yes get those pens out and use them! :) Thank you so much for watching!
