This looks like terrible resource management. Did I understand correctly that only the seeds are collected? I grow pumpkins on my property and use them for smoothies, roast dishes, seed snacks, decorations, pies, bars, cookies .. you name it.. and of course feed the skin back into the ground..

pumpkin seed LOWER VALUE than the pumpkin. any pumpkin is worth $1 plus. the seed IS NOT.

Ganz genau, Michael Mayer hat 1969 den ersten Kürbiskernernter in Frauental gebaut. Nach vielen erfolgreichen Jahren wurde die Firma dann von seiner Tochter nach Oberösterreich verkauft. Das Moty Werk in Frauental wurde dann Ende der Nuller Jahre geschlossen. Schöne Grüße in die alte Heimat!

Варварство мякоть тыквы выбрасывать. Это отличный корм для животных. Да и люди могут не тараканов и мучных червей кушать а овощи. Мякоть едят в сыром, жареном, печеном, вареном виде. Полезнее, конечно, сырая тыква. Польза обусловлена тем, что в неизменном виде сохраняются все витамины и полезные вещества, которые исчезают во время тепловой обработки. Кроме этого, сырая тыква содержит большое количество клетчатки. В любом виде тыква - прекрасный продукт, который легко усваивается и подходит даже для рациона маленьких детей и пожилых людей.

There has gotta be a use for all that wasted Flesh. Seems a bit of a waste , Animal feed (Pallets/Slop), Compost Fertilizer

These varieties are unfortunately very poor in taste. Transporting the flesh would be mainly transporting water. The flesh is widespread on the field and remains there as natural fertilizer (just as compost).
