Anti-Akermann is an understeer geometry, please note here an important thing here is that once traction is lost, the coefficience of traction is exceeded, then you are into a skid, this is NOT and should never be considered "under steer" as that is a fundamental principal of steering and suspension geometry. Skidding is purely loss of traction, under and over steer is measureable and predictable, skidding is not. Over and under steer HAS to have traction. Even deformation of tyres is not under or oversteer, this can be referred to as "slip angle", fundamentally, the 3 things are very different and have very different physical properties. Please NEVER label them all as the same thing.

It's AI voice isn't it? No human talks like that. Really off-putting IMO. Edit: checked another vid. This is AI but it's typically not I guess. Coming from an American, I kind of expect an accent hearing about anything motor sports besides NASCAR. I'd prefer that to AI voice every time but maybe I'm the 10th dentist on this one

You have some engines mixed up the M156 does not have the same square bore as the 4cyl I think you meant to compare the M177 Engine as comparison. I think you’re trying to capitalize on the videos from amg and you don’t really know what you are talking about.

I want to use this to lock the front wheels together on a 3 wheeler since any body roll results in the back wheel having positive camber. That or somehow design a 4 link suspension for the rear that is interconnected to the front and can maintain correct alignment through body roll

I have a very remedial question. There are industrial passive Pre-Chamber spark plugs for generators using natural gas for fuel that look very similar & have jet nozzles....... I'm sure if that plug design would work as a convention spark plug replacement upgrade, it would be made available for the mass market. Why does it not work? Are the holes too small for the gas charge to compress into the plug or other factors?????
@matufujiwara74935 ай бұрын
main problem would be fuel and air mixture reaching the spark. i would quess.

Thanks for this. I understood secondary balance on paper, but was having a hard time understanding it intuitively. The visual showing the crankshaft stationary and the connecting rod swinging side-to-side made it all click for me.

Mechanical linkages for this seem to have a dual ratio in the rear. For the first few degrees of steering, the rear wheels steer with the front, crab walking the vehicle, as the steering is turned further, the rear straightens before turning counter to the front, performing as a shorter wheelbase. Obviously this is done a a simple solution to provide in phase at low steering input for high speeds, then counter phase for high steering input at low speeds. However, it seems that it would be more advantageous to do the opposite at higher speeds. Counter steer the rear initially in order to rotate it into what would be an oversteer condition for a 2 wheel steering vehicle, and then to turn the wheels in phase and slightly crab walk the vehicle through the turn. This would introduce a sideslip angle onto the rear axle and then utilize the available traction of the rear to balance the reduce the horizontal forces on the front axle. The Ackerman ratio seems to be a nightmare as well, with the center of rotation constantly moving around.

Lol, I did the same back in 2016, when accidentally ripped my spark plug thread on my lil' old Simson S51 moped. Back than I did not have a HeliCoil thread repair set, so I bought an aftermarket repair bushing. This solution required a long threaded spark plug, but I didn't have - so I inserted the original short one. The engine lost 2 out of 3 horsepower. This is the short and non-relevant story how, I (and many) invented the reduced compression, pre-chamber combustion before Honda. Yes, it seems terrible me too.

High swirl on intake pulls the jets outward along with the pressure in the prechamber which is what enables super rapid burn.

i read the main benefit was the ability to run overall leaner because the tji assists flame propagation, i don't see why compression ratio would be different to standard SI
@SpeedPhysics Жыл бұрын
this video was done on the basis that there isnt much information on how all these experiments and also race engines that use turbulent jet ignition can run such high compression. as for information on its ignition coverage, few are out there already hence why, as you said, it could run very lean. the system works better on load and vice versa as well hence maserati's complicated combustion chamber set up
@Dane33781 Жыл бұрын
You're able to run a higher compression ratio because of how little time the combustion event takes to happen. The higher compression ratio would also change the lean flammability limit characteristics. The benefit of the higher compression ratio is also because of the improved expansion ratio.

There are only a couple of such videos.... I think someone should revisit this original concept. Look at it this way: still less complex than the LiquidPiston Rotary, and we know that engine is viable.
