This interview is probably around 1981 or 82. Hard to believe that was at least 42 years ago.
Wow, what an amazing demonstration of true genius! Michael, Jimmy Page, Toni Iommi, Neil Young...the top tier of all time. Several other greats, and creative greats like the Beatles, but Michael...take me back to UFO Live 1977.

Uli sucks...his sound is always the same...can't make his guitar do anything but whine..and not even close to a rhythm or lead in this video...just blurts out shit randomly.

This song reminds me of an old Judas Priest song ... only in some places though ... it's an awesome song! It's in my heavy metal box set ...

you can spend most your life learning theory till it comes out of your ears. If you don't know how to write memorable lines, you basically got nothing. I know just enough theory when I need it, the rest is winging it like Schenker. He was my main influence growing up. His music touches my soul. His solos are everything ! The Lost Horizons solos played on this video are perfect example of his brilliance.

That outro, as played here starting around 3:53 , is one of the most melodic and lyrical pieces of rock guitar I have ever heard. Schenker's tone and execution makes this performance exceptionally tasty listening. Simon Phillips and the bass player are a solid rhythm section,as well.

So so much better than the performances I'm hearing by him now.... He used to have such a great tone and play solos with such feeling and intensity. The band were much better back then too, much more cohesion and togetherness than there is now
