What about real-time redundancies for video and audio capture? Everything just going to a single drive with no simultaneous (if even individualized) backups?

I have a question. I know that the Rodecaster Pro 2 has a setting for the Shure SM7B and claims it doesn't require a cloud lifter. Why did you go ahead and purchase a multi-mic cloud lifter for your set up given that claim? Did you test it with and without the cloud lifter:? Thanks. (BTW, I produce larger scale streams and TV series but also make my own content. Enjoying your channel., New Sub).
@TheStudioBusiness8 күн бұрын
I don’t think the cloud lifter is as needed if you have a 2nd gen rodecaster, at the time of recording we still were using our first gen and the preamps DID need the extra help it provided to power the Shure mics. Not a total requirement.

What is the sceptre monitor (size etc) and what do you use to mount it to the desk that low profile? The setup is PERFECT for the space I have, so I want to replicate it as best I can. I already have a ton of audio and video equipment from being a content creator but I'm wanting to start a podcast. Also, the room divided curtains you have up, what are those if I can ask? I'm looking at some on Amazon that may work
@KKatera18 күн бұрын
the monitor looks like the 20" sceptre E205W-16003RTT

I think it was a 22 inch monitor. The right one is slightly different from the left. The left one is not very color accurate and idk if I can totally recommend it. But it’s cheap! I’m sure you’ll be fine with that model too. Curtains are just from Amazon as well. Nothing fancy. Good luck!

Very interesting video, I tried to set our studio up the way you described. Just one thing I didn’t quite understand yet. Isn’t it, that the Atem Mini Extreme can’t output 4K quality? Wouldn’t the cameras be quite overpowered or am I doing something wrong with either BMD or the camera settings?
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
Yea black magic atem is 1080p locked output wise. But you can put the cameras in 4k mode in idle and (still 1080p out via hdmi) but that will give you more of a downsampled 4k look. We also could, if we wanted to, record internally on the cameras in studio or elsewhere. Cheaper cameras could work all the same but we like the fx30s
@daanothoffАй бұрын
Brands need to come up with a total audio and video recording integration so there would be no need anymore for the separate audio and video recording routes. 1 device where you connect all your mic’s, headphones and camera’s to. Hit record and go! It would spit out video ISO files of every camera plus an xml file for video editing like an ATEM, and multitrack audio like a Rodecaster.

Trying to build a studio in my office for my personal use. Would I be able to just run ZVE10's on all camara and keep a crisp quality. Literally the price of 3 ZVE10 is almost the same as one of the FX30 with lense. I would like to build the most superb set with under $8k.
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
The one main issue is going to be the crop on smaller sensor cameras. It’ll be difficult to get a great wide shot without at least one full frame. That is unless you have tons of room. The other concern is overheating… I have not tested the zve10s at length, but the fx30s have fans that will allow for longer recording/idle time.

Hey man, just some friendly advice - I'd ensure anything overhead has a safety chain or a bolted connection. Also, for legal purposes (not a lawyer) I would always recommend including language in the contract that releases liability from you for temporary installations like this. If those clamps fall and hits someone - you might be hurting more than them in a couple days. Loved this video man!
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
While I'm confident this will hold and be safe, I do agree we should also bolt/chain them moving forward. Thank you for the advice and concern!

More builds please, as well as including the Camera lens, light intensity and distance from the talent. I think that's what a lot of other KZbinr's tend to miss and that is how far apart things are in the space / studio. having that detail information can really help someone wrap their heads around what is being built. Great content ! New sub and thumbs UP!!! Lastly, why not go with full frame cameras all the way? was it a cost savings decision ? in regards to the camera body and full frame lens? If budget was not an obstacle would you had preferred going full frame on all the shots? and what is the middle shot lens your using?
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
Good point! I’ll do more comprehensive videos moving forward. I did not touch on lighting techniques really. If money is no object, yes full frame is better. But since we aren’t in need of low light performance, apsc cameras work fine. The fx30s have fans built in and work great for this purpose. Exchanging them for fx3s would be another 4k+ and that’s pre better glass as well.
@safetyhomeloans950Ай бұрын
@@TheStudioBusiness great input! what lense you using on the full frame body?
@ResaleRenegadeАй бұрын
Happy bday! I hope you safety lined those varipoles in case a clamp loses tension.
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
I’m confident they will hold. In reality it’s not that much weight and with the rubber padding on the clamp and softness of the wood, I felt confident that I had compressed it enough to be safe for long term.
@ResaleRenegadeАй бұрын
@@TheStudioBusiness I'm just speaking from a liability standpoint, it's usually worth the $20 in steel cable. I used to shoot sporting events and I wouldn't even leave my cameras hung without a safety line. But you do you, man. Studio looks phenomenal though. I'd love to see some more footage of it.

I want to build the same things for a podcast studio for rent. I have a garage. DO you think this is a good place to start? I have a 400ft garage.
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
If that’s what you have, I think that’s an ok starting point! You may just need to do quite a bit to get it user ready. Heating/ac? Sound proofing? Clean up? I also typically discourage anyone doing it from their home for business purposes. Does not set the most professional tone and will be a more uphill battle with getting better clients. But if you are planning to start and expand, not a bad start!

Hi thanks for the video I just want to ask is that cloudlighter a must? Can I just pug the mic directly into the Rode?
@TheStudioBusinessАй бұрын
No, not a must. At the time, we only had the first gen rodecaster and the preamps weren’t quite as good as the v2 model. The cloud lifter helps get a better level without needing to crank gain. Not totally required tho!
