@mikemorgan1579 I've been using the zig zag since it first came out I've never had a problem with it being jumpy with the chicane or without the chicane just my opinion I use drenaline with it. Was on board to buy one ..but seen taylors video on the sizes ?😢😮.. why ..they made the back pad tiny for the small and different sizes. That was one of the main differences between it and tree motion was larger back pad.? That small is tiny.could try medium but its still dont look any different than a tree motion and or thicker.super upset The evo waz best harness they had..the pro i tryed on and was gimmicky comapred to my old but new s light .it was lighter but felt like was cheaper made and not at all the same.they sell husqvarna branded tree motion that looks much more like the evo..something about the shape of the leg and back pads positioning you can see it in pictures. Looks closer to the evo..i guess will be stuck with the traditional style paw saddles. At least thers pad on back..also didnt like those leg straps bungie things
@jakeharris44653 ай бұрын
Piss weak looking harness,I get that they are light but I couldn’t relax with those tiny belt straps holding me knowing they are wearing out after some use,give me a solid old school harness for removals and a light one like yours for prunes

Nice work Jacob. Can I ask you what footwear you are climbing in?
@@nau_whatthanks, I thought so. I’ve wondered how minimalist footwear would hold up in the trees and also how feet would hold up in that style of boot. I’m guessing they don’t work well with spikes or tight branch unions. I’d be interested in a review of the boots in a climbing scenario! I’ve really appreciated your perspective. You’ve obviously thought things through and have good discipline. Thanks for sharing.
@nau_what4 ай бұрын
@@arboricole They are definitely a purpose-driven boot. You are correct, they are not removal boots for spikes, but I gain a lot of confidence/traction when I perform large prunes or compete in them. It's amazing how well you can feel the tree limb beneath your feet in these.
@arboricole4 ай бұрын
@@nau_what Totally understand. I don't mind having purpose driven footwear. If it does well with pruning and holds up to the rough environment I'd be game for giving them a try. I've been considering those exact boots for some time now, but you are the first I've seen to use them in our industry. Thanks for the response. Also, again...nice job with this AR. I've never attended a competition, but your precise work in this video demonstrates a caliber of climbing that obviously got you the win. Congrats!

Biggest complaint .cannot understand why all tree saddles dont come with bucket rated attachment points as options..for suspension..almost everyone uses a bucket or lift at some point .and those fall arest bucket harnesses suck .sure you can wear any 🧗♂️ saddle but to be safe and follow standards it should be optinal on every saddle
@toddbremer91314 ай бұрын
I believe that rear ring being green on that saddle makes it life safety rated. That’s how the Treemotion was then they stopped that on some of the later models and it was red. I think more saddles should have it rated as many climbers use the bucket too. Not to mention work out of the bucket and climb back in to finish the lower section of a tree.

Dude has so much stuff on that saddle he’s gonna need rocket boots to get off the ground 👍🏽nice gear best of luck with it

WP Line install: 5:20: Why havent you send the retreavelline up from the beginning? (Without drop bag) It would spare time and you would through less stuff around. When you are at the top, you just reclip it. For the other bagdrop, that went actually quite far out, even if it was not out of bound it was definetly to close to possible viewers. Thats high risk for DQ. 😉 I like your chill aproach.

decent video. i enjoyed watching the video aside from the continuous throat clearing.. also, the setup was very complicated. i feel like this could have been done much faster with a hitch climber on an mrs system. it did seem to me that this was like 10x more gear than you actually needed to do this. i mean literally you have two rrp's? geez. must be nice. not trying to hate though. you did some very interesting things that opened up some thought process for me. however, i honestly think that a rope, harness, hitchclimber prusik, 2 carabiners and a lanyard would have sufficed for this job. still, props for actually gettting out there and making the video, it looks like if you keep it up you will be much faster the more familiar you get with your setup. ill send a like.
