The camera was not placed on the head actually, but on a camera mount on the panoramic glass roof above, because i did not have the head mount at that time :( Since the distance between the panoramic glass and the camera was quite big (i was using an extension mount), there are some shakes (you can see that I was trying to hold the camera with my hand in some parts of the video, to stop the shaking 😅)

Given what TDI stands for, it's not wrong to call it that, even though bmw doesn't use it 🚗 (at least as an abbreviation)

It doesn't really feel unstable, it is a very stable car, even at high speeds. Maybe it's because of the camera, but I did not feel any instability, even at high speeds.

@@throttlerushofficial Maybe it’s the camera, just like the sound (something related to the microphone), which is also average. I guess it’s time for better recording equipment. ;) When I watched it again and paid attention to the left mirror, I noticed that the car in the lane isn’t as stable as its predecessor. In general, some new BMWs tend to have stability issues, often caused by suspension geometry that requires adjustment even straight from the factory. 😂

the pops of this idrive 8 model (facelift) are fake, they're only in the cabin through ASD (active sound design), outside you can't hear them.

@@gulyasraul That's actually wrong. The microphone in this video was placed inside the trunk of the car, under some noise insulators, pointing to the exhaust. Since there are no speakers in the trunk, the sound is pure from exhaust. Also, go check out the "NIGHT CITY DRIVE" from my channel with this car, where the microphone was placed directly outside (on the towing hook), so only pure exhaust sound there. I don't say that BMW is not doing anything to their sound in the cabin, but in this video there is no "fake" enhancement. One example is the new M135.. the cabin sound of the new M135 is totally different from the outside, the video with it will come soon, stay tuned ✌

@@throttlerushofficial that’s weird because I thought you could code the fake pops off using bimmercode if you have the ASD of the Idrive 8. I drive the M440i xDrive 2021, non facelift, with the “older” software than the M340i that you drove, and it almost never pops, when it does only on downshifts and you can’t even hear it from the cabin. Weird considering newer softwares are more strict with these pops and noise regulations while my 07/2020 software doesn’t do anything like that in the video. Overall exhaust and the rest should be the exact same car and configuration, the G22 and G20 exhausts are 1:1 the same

That's wrong. Look how close the gps on waze is to the speedo. I think a maximum 0.5 second difference.

@throttlerushofficial Buy a Racebox, a VBOX or a Dragy and check it. 18.5 seconds at best.

My manual 325d f30 does 100-200 in 20.5s on gps and 19sec on the needles. So 1.5s difference for a car with 218ps. The difference for this 540d will be therefore a maximum 1s

@ ja aber ich meine das ist der neuste und aktuellste Diesel Motor der überarbeitet wurde. Die in den 3er Modellen ist noch der "alte" Diesel als m40d drinn der 340ps leistet. Der neue 40d leistet 352ps. Ist zwar die gleichen Motoren nur leicht überarbeitet. Den müsste BMW eigentlich auch für den 5er bieten. Haben die aber nicht schade...

The model is the 40d (540d), at least by name. Still having the bi-turbo twin scroll engine.

@@scottysvensson mine is January 2019, Inscription, custom made, adaptive suspension and 8 speed geartronic gear box, turbocharged and supercharged, and believe me or not, max speed in Power mode, on autobahn, was 240km/h (limited by factory) with 2 pasengers and one large suitcase, full tank. Of course, consumption gone sky high. Too bad that after the latest update I can't see in Driving Journal the speed as before to prove it to you. As I know, starting with 2020 Volvo limited the max speed at 180. Mine is build January 2019, in Torslanda - Sweden, received on March 1st 2019. After July 2019 they start to build such model also in China. So believe me, or not, I drove mine with 240.
