Es ist eigentlich ein 530D und nicht der 40er. Der gleiche Motor wird auch im X5/6 geboten und heißt dort 30d. Den 40er gibt es bei den SUVs mit deutlich mehr Leistung. Schade dass er im neuen 5er nicht mehr gibt.

@ ja aber ich meine das ist der neuste und aktuellste Diesel Motor der überarbeitet wurde. Die in den 3er Modellen ist noch der "alte" Diesel als m40d drinn der 340ps leistet. Der neue 40d leistet 352ps. Ist zwar die gleichen Motoren nur leicht überarbeitet. Den müsste BMW eigentlich auch für den 5er bieten. Haben die aber nicht schade...

The model is the 40d (540d), at least by name. Still having the bi-turbo twin scroll engine.

is noise insulation worse than in the g30? from the video seems so but i'm hoping it's from the camera setup

I am driving both - g60 is noticeably better

It is from the microphone as the sound was recorded separately with the mic in the trunk. I would say the noise insulation is very good even at high speeds.

On the GPS it won't do 15.6s 100-200. It goes around 19 seconds.

That's wrong. Look how close the gps on waze is to the speedo. I think a maximum 0.5 second difference.
