I love the Sequoyah. They were named after a Scottish man who created the Cherokee's syllabary. I have been there many times, they are always working on the road.

I lived in Fresno 1977 -1980. Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Yosemite were day trips! Just like when I lived in San Diego, I didn't realize how good I had it, until I left! Poor Pepper! She is a puppy and a breed that needs a job to do (I've raised 5 German Shepherds). Get a little backpack for her to carry. Take her out in the morning with it on and she will sleep all day!

Was searching NCL as its my favorite cruise to sail on and we're signed up for the Norwegian Aqua in April 2026. But anyways I came across your video of your visit to Portland and being from Maine I had an obligation to correct a discrepancy. You was in the Old Port not Old Town. Glad you folks had a great time visiting Maine. Next time venture out and you'll find better seafood restaurants. Those in Portland see so many folks from out of state that they get skimpy on the servings

Best advice from some living here for over 12 years and visiting since 1992? Leave the marina area. ESPECIALLY if you are on a cruise ship.

This video is brilliant and helpful. I will add for Carnival the wait staff is excellent, they get to know you and in my experience are more attentive to the details of our personal wants. While the food is much better on NCL our wait staff has been a bit absent. Agree with NCL - O'Sheehans, why all lines don't have a similar eatery is a mystery. We are going on our first Royal next year.

Safe travels

We were on the Firenze last week and our embarkation and disembarkation was smooth. But I do agree with you on the volume in the lido deck. The roof was closed on our cruise and it was so loud. Also it seems a lot more cramped compared to the open lido decks of other Vista Class ships like the Panorama. I loved the Sea Day Brunch. I just wish it didn't close at noon. Our wait staff in the main dinning room was outstanding. I guess I would prefer going on the Panorama...not only because of the ship, but because of the ports that it goes to: Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan. These ports are nicer and the weather is warmer down there.

As a native nyer, some of the tourist stuff is kinda fun, but go the museums! Research really good restaurants downtown and in Brooklyn. Walk Central Park and Prospect Park. And Katz's deli is overpriced and touristy and delicious!
