I recently visited this crossing on 1/1/25 and both bells have since been replaced with Safetran e-bells. It still retains its incandescent lights though.

Imagine if one time the gates go down instead of the Zooliner, a full sized freight train with full length double stacked containers, 2 sets of mid train DPUs plus another DPU set at the end, and at least 180 gondolas (for the containers) went through those crossings at 50mph.

3:38 4:44 5:37 6:48 Huh, these crossings use various kinds of gates from #MagneticAccess rather than the typical railroad level crossing gates (e.g. Siemens Mobility S-60).

Rode that very train back in the early 1960's. At that time it was powered by a Detroit diesel engine. Very smokey. Now it sounds like Isuzu or Cummins powered.

A Crossing with traffic lights and No Boom Gates
@sbcrossings5907Ай бұрын
Yes, the crossing is only used twice on day on weekdays and always crawls through at a snails pace so boom gates are not really needed.
