I found that interesting and as a "white man" in Southern Africa, I think his analysis of our situation is pretty accurate. I can't speak for the USA, but the thinking resonates with me.

The turning point in my weight was when I(5'6) went over 175lbs but I couldn't see a problem. I was always adjusting the angle automatically so that I didn't. 2022 a photo was taken at a house party and I happen to be in it. I could not recognize myself in that photo. The shock put my priorities straight. I wanted to, needed to, like myself more. I couldn't stand being that person. In 2 years time, I've adopted a much better lifestyle and had lost over 40lbs. (I'm 33) Don't think about losing weight quickly, think about lifestyle changes with the goal of it lasting forever. Because if it's going to last forever, you'll fit in room for the things you want to eat, you'll think of your happiness. If I have to give advice, it would be a long list but if I have to sum it up quickly: Your last meal is the most important meal. It sucks to not celebrate and go hard for your last meal of the day but that's the worse thing you can do. Have a controlled and healthy and filling last meal of the day at least 4 hours before bed time. Going hard on your other meals of the day, is probably mostly okay 🤣🤣 You don't have to work out but do not live lethargically. Have a more active lifestyle every waking conscious moment. Your body will react to how you treat it.

I think success is mostly personal. it's about your impact on the things you care about and then you get to see it for yourself. Money helps you get there quicker if you know how to use it towards that.

These white people here are lucky that African-American people don't really take out a lot of anger on this country. Because we could be like that too. But that's not the answer we know it. It went out gun here.

As an African I have never understood the concept of paying money to go camping or hiking. Its insane how people even buy expensive hiking gear, met tourists that laughed when they saw me hiking up a mountain wearing semi-formal clothes. I only understood how weird it was for them seeing this when we were going down the cable cart together and I was the only one who wasn't wearing said gear 😅😅😅. Different worlds yet same planet

I've been saying for the longest time, the essence of Apartheid and white supremacist/KKK era racism never went anywhere. Many of its principles, practices, machinations built into systemic racism and ideologies simply became absorbed into different aspects of society from the police, to private corporations, to branches of government and so on. It just became "normalized" and more subliminal. That's why it became much easier for racists to remain closeted and deny it and continue gaslighting people about it.

This comment section is definitely not for white people. I wonder do any of you worry that it could be an echo chamber that only serves to keep you intrenched in a perspective that no longer serves you as a collective?

I think people should read the book Orania. It is about modern day APARTHEID in South-Africa. It is 2024 and it is still happening!!!! There are a lot of whites over there who hate black people and yet they act like South-Africa is their land. They are like KKK.

Don't take vyvanse UNLESS you take half of the smallest prescribed dose, and don't take it for more than 3 days in a week. It works great at low doses, and you'll very quickly want more, and then you'll immediately feel like you can't function without it, and half a dose will become a full dose will become 2x dose in 8 days. But a half dose really is like the perfect adderall, you'll forget you took anything in the morning and at night wonder "how'd I get so much done today?'

Thank you, Trevor, for describing it so succinctly! Was finally diagnosed with ADHD in my forties which answered so many questions. Unfortunately I have heart failure so my current psychiatrist won't put me on a med (and the non-stimulants never worked). At least I'm on an antidepressant.

Apartheid ended in 1990. Think about that. It was engrained in white people the blacks were inferior. The 60's 70's and 80's whites are still around and and have the same beliefs as then. They didn't want to end apartheid but were forced to from international pressure. This dudes were evil and their racism and laws and actions will debilitate generations of blacks for centuries to come.

When he says "you do sets, just keep doing your sets" after 30:50, he sounds so much like Jimmy Fallon impersonating him. It's like an impression of an impression.
