I've never clicked so fast! I love her! Most women are taught that romantic relationships are the most important when they're not. The relationship to yourself is the most important relationship you'll be developing for the rest of your life. Also, that sexuality is fluid and not fixed. So, it ebbs and flows throughout our lives. All humans deserve access to therapy because we deserve it, not because we need to suffer.
@abbysweat92027 ай бұрын
I laughed so hard when she talked about thriving in an institution. I'm totally the same way, was in the Air Force when I was younger and did so well in the rehab environment where they made me eat three meals a day and get some exercise and sunshine and take care of my mental health. I was even the leader at a certain point before I went home lol. They always appointed someone as leader to make sure that we were all at meals and starting meetings and blah blah blah... The leader was almost always a male and I was genuinely proud of myself for being a woman and getting the leadership position😂😂😂 now that is something to put on a resume!

I've heard no other interview more healing to me than this one. I relate to everything Margaret Cho has been through a thousand times over. Thank you Neal, and thank YOU, Margaret Cho.

@@AB-wf8ek I've been taught that it's impolite to ask someone how much they paid for something, especially something expensive. Most people cannot afford the rehab facilities, homes, cars, etc. that people in entertainment and generally wealthy people can. Was it truly relevant and helpful for you to know this about Margaret Cho? Not for me. People seeking recovery need to know that they have access to quality treatment even if they don't have $$$$.
@martinasherman51246 ай бұрын
@@AB-wf8ek It's not relatable, and it was like Neal forgot his audience in that moment. The fact that Margaret Cho went into treatment and what she experienced is important, not being asked by Neal something like, "Hey, how much that run you?" My clients in rehab were only interested in stories that they found relatable, and I guarantee they would not care to know about Margaret's treatment expenses. They want to be inspired. I'm done making this point now.

I’ve been single for like 7 years and now I don’t think I’ll ever date again. The sanity and clarity that comes from only caring about yourself if wildly addicting. I apparently give off married with kids energy because of my lack of interest. Everyone’s been saying “when you stop looking love finds you” for 7 years and it just makes me laugh now. If you’re a dude you have to try or you’ll literally just be lost in the background. Which is chill if you just wanna hide in the background.

She got wrapped up into the BS of the people around her, and she had no idea that they were using her presence to create something better for themselves and not her. I truly love Margaret Cho, even now - and not for her comedy, not for her advocacy, and not for anything other than I love her presence. She's a wonderful person, and the people have taken advantage of her wonderfulness. I don't know about the poop thing, but even that's wonderful in its own little way. I hope she meets someone like me someday (and I know it won't be me directly) that isn't swayed by the BS, and sees her for who she is and not what can be gained from her.
